Mainly an idea in the spirit of getting rid of the possibility of people intentionally losing matches and generally improving on things. Since the first and second place prizes are very different type of ships, allow the winner to choose which ships they want to take and leave the leftovers for the second place team. Basicly make it so, that being the number one team is the best outcome in every conceivable scenario. It might even allow more freedom in designing such ships, since they wouldn't have to be so clearly tiered. Just bake the cakes and let the winner choose which one he prefers more.

Now I don't think it's a serious worry, that a team loses the finals on purpose just because they want the second place ships. The difference in the quality of prices and the prestige of being the best will almost certainly be enough. On the other hand, I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be even better, if the winner gets to choose which ships they want in addition to getting the prestige and the PLEXs.

I don't know about you but I'm looking forward to a hauler team vs hauler team final.
