This thread made my morning.

I used to think the denizens of the EvE forums the most contentious, argumentative, premenstrually stroppy, aggressive, nihilistic, egotistical bunch of badger-baiters this side of hell but now all I can see is the most perfect group of like-minded individuals giving it to one misguided (or intentionally trolling) numpty.

I hope very much that the OP was trolling. Imagine what having this many people telling you you're stupid would do to a person's sense of self-worth!

Well done for winning the bet but you need to give that isk back and hand over 200mill of your own if that really was the bet. The reason being the definition of Troll.

As far as I can see there is only one troll in this entire thread and that's you so in fact you have a single troll in a tread that's 7 pages long. You certainly don't have 3 pages of trolls or anything like it.

They're not trolling, they're responding reasonably to a troll post. You posted a trolling comment, designed to get people to respond. Those people responded to your post, predominantly in a reasonable manner.

I think you're taking things a little to heart if you think people are insulting you. They're merely making statements of fact. The issue here is your erroneous perception and lack of understanding. Your tears are unnecessary. It's ok, God loves you. No one else does and God doesn't exist but I hope that helped some.

Going to make my case in a troll thread, because hey, why not?

Making eve big again would be great. I'm not sure (everyone has their reasons) but I would guess that people are unable to see past what they perceive as a terrible personal burden to realize that the game itself might benefit tons from making the game big again.

And you will not have the game feel big again if the majority of solarsystems you pass through are only experienced through a warp tunnel and any point of the galaxy can be reached with a click of a jump clone or jump bridge.

With the exception of 0.0 (where you can bubble) there doesn't even seem to be much of a point to traveling period anymore. Why not just click an interbus button in the station and get transported to any other station instantly? Unless you are in a frigate in low sec and jump into 50 hostiles, there is not much opportunity to nail someone to the wall anymore. Not if you know how to reapproach a gate.

Eve is massive, it should feel massive. Travel should both take time and be significantly wrought with opportunity to lose ships and bump into other gangs (instead of constant avoidance, which we see a lot of).

Eve is decent with warp to 0, but how may ppl commenting here actually pvp'd back when it was warp to 15 AND before most people had bookmarks (the real problem the should have fixed). I have never been a pirate, but let me tell you it was a lot of fun.

Sure, it took time to get someplace... but when you got there you could set up shop in a constellation and know that you could get fights. When you war dec'd someone in empire, you could actually hunt and engage them without it just being a game of complete avoidance.
