In many places, if someone were to eat a bullet and their relatives found chatlogs of therapy sessions to this char, you could even be criminally liable.

I am 100% confident that my sessions would not lead someone to "eat a bullet" as you put it. My conversations are completely for the well being of the client in both game play and in rl for that matter.

Accreditation in this game thus far has consisted of my pilots license. If there is a mission that will give me proper certification in this game...please sir point me to it.

I am offering space therapy. Unless one of my clients is a NASA pilot I think I am clear of criminal action. Added to the fact that it is role playing for the most part.

also, there is no transaction of rl money for my services rendered in the game. It is for the game and about the game. If rl issues are discussed....It would be very speculative whether or not I have any actual knowledge that the client is being forthright...it is an interesting point you make...but there is no cause for me to worry about what I do. Let's say you blow up a players prized ship and goes and to"eat a bullet" over it? And a court looks to find in his computer and a note left by him that you were the reason for his death...??

In my situation I am at least looking to counsel pilots that might have the disposition to do such a thing...in your case...there has been no reparations on the pilots behalf.

Thank you for your support.

I am sorry to say here,

But he is correct that you can become criminally responsible if anything happens to your client directly related to your "therapy" session. You are practising therapy illegally, and it is therapy because you are openly advertising it as therapy without a real life license online which is illegal in almost every country with a solid law system. It is a possibility that you could get in trouble for this depending on which country you reside in, as practising therapy in Real Life or online does require a license.. Even doing it through a service like EVE.

If a client commits suicide due to the direct counselling from you within the game, and chat logs are found which prove to linking you to this. You can be sued by relatives or even charged for aiding to the suicide in a emotional manner and a direct mental encouragement that the client may take in the wrong way even if you didn't mean to intentionally place that thought into his mind.

But on a happier note, I applaud what you are doing if you are truely doing it to help pilots whom may suffer emotional issues and such whom have become too addicted to this game and are upset over a virtual world loss or maybe even with a real life issue. But I highly suggest that you do not advertise this as a therapy service, there is a slim possibility that your services could relate to a suicide or someone harming themselves which could blow back in your face.. And believe me, a person advertising online therapy sessions through a game for in-game currency, advertising he can help people and that person took counselling from you.. Is a legitimate base for a law suit for professional negligence under tort law and even possibly aiding the harm of another being or aiding their suicide (Which I highly doubt would happen, but the professional negligence lawsuit is a risk and its highly possible it will stand up in court). There has been many law suits over in-game affairs before... So its not impossible to happen.

Also to whomever said there is such a law about Amateur Therapy, there is no such law that allows you to practice Amateur Therapy that is un-supervised. Certain medical practice laws may allow you practice Therapy / Counselling while being supervised by a licensed Therapist... But never without supervision.

You get an F for not citing your sources. The therapist gets an A though for excelent role playing - love the concept; well done!

Free bump, just used this service as a gift for a hostile pilot.

Seems legit, therapist seems understanding and genuinely concerned for clients.

Great idea, keep up the good work.
