Let's take the case of The Veyr Collective. They didn´t manage to kill any ship their two matches.
What if, when they seen they have only one ship left in the first match they payed a few bil for Norhtern Coalition to blow up all their ships except a Sleipnir before loosing. Northern Coalition gets the same amount and points, the same win, the result hasn´t changed so your silly rules werent broken. But Veyr got 34 points more.
What if, in the second match they do the same with Capital Punishment. The points and result for Capital Punishement are the same, rules weren´t broken cause hey, it was after the match was decided already but that way Veyr got 34 point more.
With a total of 68 points and not being able to kill any ship on their own, veyr could have went to group stages only by bribing other teams(which btw, would have been very good for the other teams in case they were in a tie with another team) and without breaking any rule?
Do anyone see a problem here?
