Criminal career with limited time?

Hello all.

I'm playing for a little over a month now. So far I've been doing the so-called ninja-looting and -salvaging and had quite a bit of fun (I also wrote about that on this forums a little, thanks for all the tips you all gave me there, by the way!).

Lately I wasn't very successful in getting people to shoot at me, though, and if I succeeded, they were mostly gone by the time I was back with my cruiser to shoot them, too.
I've had some interesting fights (well, not that many, but a few), but only two of them ended with ships being destroyed. One time the other ship, one time mine.

So, while I enjoy doing this, I've been thinking this isn't all I want to do.
And I also don't want to do only stuff by myself.

I'm interested in pursuing a somewhat criminal career, although I don't think I have the heart to go into scamming (I've been offered to be trained as scammer already).
The criminal part doesn't have to play a major role as long as it's not frowned upon if I continue to occasionally steal stuff and if there is fun to be had, as in shooting things together with others, if possible not only to burn, but also to make isk.

My problem is: I can't fly very often. Some days only one to two hours, some days not at all. Some weekends more.

So I thought I'd ask you guys here: What options do I have under the circumstances I just described? Even if you have ideas which don't fit exactly what I described above, I'll gladly hear them.

I can scan (well, my scanning skills aren't that hot, but that's something which can be improved. I do have some practice scanning ships by now, though, but I don't doubt I still can improve.)
I can fly Gallente frigates and cruisers.
My gunnery skills aren't too hot (like 3-4 points in most important ones for small and medium hybrid turrets. no T2).
I can use T2 small and medium drones.
I do have some decent armor tanking skills, I think.
I'm slightly invested in navigation, too.
Edit: the rest is more or less invested in stuff to make things easier to fit.

Do you think there might be a place for someone like that with not-so-much time on their hands?

Thanks

Serena

You could explore the profitable and exciting world of suicide ganking! Can you fly a Tornado? Catalysts aren't bad for ganking either.

Is the Suddenly clan still around?

When I'm pressed for time, but want to be a jerk, I usually go on safari. I even wrote a little guide.

Thanks for the responses so far.

Suicide ganking is actually something I can see myself doing, even if probably not as full-time thing. I'd need to find people to do it together with. As far as I understand after a gank I can't leave station in a ship for 15 minutes without CONCORD response. That'd make it impossible to scoop up any loot by myself.
I actually can fly a catalyst, forgot to mention that before.
Tornado is quite a bit away, though, because I haven't trained Minmatar ships at all so far, as well as any large weapons.

@Pipa Porto: With the "Suddenly clan" do you mean the corp of ninja-looters I've seen mentioned somewhere before? I just can't remember where I have, hehe.

@Psychotic Monk: That's a nice write-up, but I'm afraid it's not for me. While I don't mind taking advantage of people doing silly things with their ships, or trying to coax them into doing silly things to take advantage of, I'm skill kinda aiming for a "honest criminal", even if that might sound silly.
So .. trying to gain someone's trust just to betray them is not my thing, I'm afraid :)

Yeah, Suddenly Ninjas in the TEARS alliance. That's the one.

Personally, I find the very mechanic that allows my corpmates to execute these "safaris" to be broken. But so long as the game permits it, I'm not going to frown upon their use of a valid method.

Suicide ganking is a good way to take advantage of people who aren't willing to fit a few defensive mods to their ships.
