Hello all. I am new at exploration and was wondering if there is any missions that you can get from agents that will give you radar sites or magetic sites? I have only found one radar site in low sec and I am not strong enough in skills to even think about tackling it by myself against the sleepers. I have been searching for ever and have the skills also for radr sites in high sec and cannot come across one. Any help would be very much appreciated.

No agents will send you to find exploration sites (apart from training sites from tutorial agent).

There are sites in high-sec to find but you must realize that there are a lot of explorers like you. Try to scan in systems that are far away from popular trading hubs. You should have more luck there with finding the sites.

AFAIK, no missions give you exploration outside of tutorials maybe?

As far as sleepers, those are only in wormhole space. The ones you find in high and low sec are of the faction rats in the area you are in. You can usually take high sec sites easily with a frigate, not sure about low sec but I wouldn't expect them to be too hard.

One thing for exploration you can look at is the hacking/archeology sites in Cosmos Space. Those are static and require you to use hacking/archeology mods to get into the stuff. The loot is used to build storyline items.

Thank you both for your replies. What is Cosmos space? and how can I use this loot to build story line? I played this for almost 2 years before and sold my character. Now I ahve a new one and doing exploration for the first time so I am just a little confused at some of this, but have been looking at forums and trying to learn as much as I can.

Let's see what Google has to say about all this :

ArrowGoogle query : "eve exploration"
1st match --> EvE WIKI : Exploration Guide

ArrowGoogle query : "eve radar"
1st match --> EvE WIKI : Radar Sites

ArrowGoogle query : "eve cosmos"
1st match --> EvE WIKI : COSMOS
5th match --> GoonWIKI : COSMOS

ArrowGoogle query : "eve building storyline items"
1st match --> EvE WIKI : Storyline modules

Time taken : 0.26 sec

That was fast wasn't itTwisted

Actually, you can find exploration sites in HiSec. Just look for out of the way locations such as dead-end systems and/or those without any NPC space stations in them. Also known as "Places Nobody Visits."

Exploration site frequency isn't just about security level; local traffic plays a big role, too. You're not going to find squat if you're exploring in places that everyone else is already exploring in. But even a 0.8 system with no station that's three or four jumps to the nearest anything will surprise you with how many scannable goodies it has to offer.

Every other explorer visits those places. Even the most remote systems are likely to be swept by an explorer every hour or two. You need lots of patience and luck to be an explorer.
