client simply refuses to close when trying to close the window, it still waits a while for a timeout of some kind, response from the server or whatever. Fix it. Client should always close immediately as I click "X" in the top right edge of the window.

let me close the clients if I realize connection is broken, before Eve does.

allow this.
In case the client needs to talk back to the server when I close it (for whatever reason), send it via UDP packet and dont wait for TCP/IP timeout ffs.

I got this issue too, on my Mac. I got to use Force Quit to close the client. The thing is Force Quit has a couple of percent chance of glitching the client, making it unable to launch, each time you use it.

I agree, telling he game to quit should result in the game quitting. I always say that every programmer should have this ingrained into their brain:

The user controls the user's computer.

Got this as well, fix it. ******* joke having to end via process kill as it sometimes fucks up the browser cache and it stops connecting to certain websites.

Yeah this happened to me yesterday when I reset my router, my eve client became unclosable I had to kill it in the process list. kind of strange.
Also CCP barely reads this forum you have to submit a bug report to get any kind of official response.

Had this happen again last night. It only happens one in maybe 10 times the client loses connection. But it should not happen at all.
