I would be interested in someone better at math than me working out exactly how many hours this guy worked to earn a billion in his first month mining, assuming he trained everything as fast as possible and worked 23/7.

I think anyone should be aware of the fact that mining provide the materials to build everything in EVE, ice runs all POS in the game, nobody says mining is the most entertaining job in this game but lost of players started mining in this game. Btw, he was no teaching anyone how to play, just wanted to share his own achievement with the community, proven to useless.

Yes. This works out how many hours he would have had available. Now how much can you make mining in a frigate for 10 hours, and then a cruiser until you get a retriever, assuming you never stopped?

Edit: Well, if you mined without sleeping for an entire month, you would only have to make an average of slightly less than 1.5 million ISK per hour!

Assuming he gets 6 hours of sleep (and he is smart and makes 1 hour of that downtime) he only has 540 hours a month to mine. This means he only needs to mine 1.85 million ISK per hour worth of ore. Still completely doable!

I'm currently pulling 20 ice units an hour that sell for 400.000 per unit so i am making 8 millions an hour. divide 1 billion to 8 millions to find out how many hours do you need 1.000.000.000 / 8.000.000 =125 hours, but nice try.

Oh, I forgot 125 hours a month for 2 PLEX that's 125 divided by 30 days 125 / 30 = 4.16 hours a day, and that with a lame Retriever.
