Wormhole Class 1 - How to repair a POS ?

Hello,

I'm inside a class 1 wormhole and today my POS has enter in reinforced mod.

I planned to remote my POS as soon as it comes out of reinforcement.

But I can't fly a logistic ship, so I'm thinking about repair it with battlecruisers.

My problem is : I don't have enough range on my shield transporter. I can't be outside of my forcefield and repair my tower.

What's the solution of my problem ?

Thanks you for your time.

The Osprey (Caldari cruiser) gets a range bonus to shield transporters. That should give you the range needed to repair.

Osprey is your solution, note the role bonus of 500% range to shield transporters. You'll still need lots of them and an inattentive enemy to get anything done in time though.

I don't have a fit handy but you can get some decent cap stable reps out of it for very few isk but you won't be able to tank them or do anything other than rep shields... consider them throw away.

At the expense of possibly spoiling it for someone...

It didn't just enter RF of its own accord... sitting there alone in an osprey is not only going to take a very long time but likely end badly.

Also any incapacitated POS mods will need a small amount of hull repping to get them online as well as repping the armor - if your not being sieged (and can spare a character) I would haul a load of ecm batteries in asap and/or hire someone to protect the POS. Please please don't tell me the POS was undefended.

I think that the Osprey can help you.

Thanks you all for your fast replies ! Smile

I made some fittings test for the Osprey and yes it solves my problem.

My POS wasn't defenseless, but it's a small POS, so it hasn't a lot of guns on it :/ .

Do you have names or a website where I can hire someone to defend me ?
I don't have any idea where I can find any truthful mercenary corporation.

Can't think of anyone tbh who'd be cost effective for saving a small POS in a C1 (you could replace the whole POS for how much it would cost).

No matter what class wormhole you are in, NEVER put up a small tower. It lacks adaquate cpu/pg to mount any sort of effective defense. Being in a c1, a large tower with a lot of ECM is a huge deterrent to almost anyone.

Here is an example: C1 POS God Mode

Also, there are several options as far as mercs go. Although in your case, I would add up the assets you stand to lose versus the cost of hiring mercs. It may be better just to let it go and consider it a lesson learned.

something else to consider

if the attackers left a scout in the system or are still there, they will be back when it comes out of RF and nothing you can do to stop them (except for mercs, i assume you cant defend it yourself or you would have when it went into RF)

if they dont come back, you can spend the next week repping the pos shield with an osprey, but unless you got a dozen of them, it takes an insane amount of time. You might as well let it recharge its own shield. Its not like people will go there just to see your shield status. either they know youre pretty much fcked or will assume its full strenght

edit: id worry more about repping up defensive mods. if they are all incapped, its a much easier sign to see theres trouble (or profit) to be had. do remember you need hull repper for that as well, as well as armor. shield will recharge itself, if it hasnt fully restored itself, before you can online them

and what one of the nucleus family said. small tower = bad idea, regardless of where

I would speak to Transmission Lost allience, they have a reputation of helping other alliences that **** too many ppl off but cant defend themselves, maybe you too have been causing too much trouble with too many corps/alliences and have reaped more trouble then you can handle, in which case transmission lost might come help you
either way , good luck

And make sure that you research the merc corps you hire, so you don't manage to pick one who runs when the odds become close to even.
