Was PI the biggest waste of effort in EVE?

Why was this put into game? There are things you can make with the processing units and no market for them at all. So why is this broken system in game? Is CCP ever going to make PI worth the cost of training and ISK so that we don't feel like we've wasted time on it?

Perhaps you should form a more constructive example of HOW/WHY it appears to be a large waste of time rather than just calling the whambulance. I hope I am not asking too much?

Thats whats funny, it rubbish because YOU cant make any isk from it, plenty of others do, even in highsec with the silly tax.

My money is you'll just figure it out... just as dust hits and it all changes again :D

It would be more cost effective if there was no limit on how many planets you can mine in a system.

actually i would prefer to have more than one colony per planet instead of more useable planets

I'm still hoping for the day when we can build cool stuff like universities on our planets and produce skillbooks & implants via PI.

There would be a bigger market for soylent green. Our ship crews are already educated, but probably need to be fed.

You can make about 300mil a month per character. And that is almost all passive income. Once a week you go pick up your crap, big deal.

My only problem with PI is how the tax is figured. On some items the tax is more than the item is worth. The tax should be based off the value of the goods IMO.

Edit: and the actual setting up of planets is pretty fun. Maintaining them, not so much.

PI is sooooo boring. I did it for about a month or two, using two different accounts, 8 planets total. Even though it's a fairly decent amount of ISK that can be gained with minimal effort, I don't even bother anymore. It's just too bleh. It's worse than mining.

Robotics are necessary for nearly every t2 module, and do I really have to get into nanite paste?

No, WiS was the biggest waste of effort in Eve.

OP cant figure out how to make money from PI.
Batphones his best friend keyboard and together they rant on forums.

I dont do PI myself, but I know of people who make quite a bit of ISK from it every month, and its like no effort ISK.
So yes, it can be quite usefull.

I used to net about 2 bil a month from my PI army. That reminds me, I still need to start my PI back up.
