Probably any.

In doubt, use the last one: 12.04. I know it works for me - with appropriate tweaking as per countless other threads in this subforum.

I'm running quite happily on ubntu 10.04 lucid. No plans at all to upgrade in the near or far future.

Have tried versions 11 and 12 but personally I can't stand the gnome 3/unity desktop thing going on so staying put with my good ol' familiar gnome 2.

Working brilliantly even on modern hardware

I hate Unity too.

Running Kubuntu solved most of the "playskool interface" problems.

I personally didn't use unity when it first came out (11.04), but 11.10 offered an option to use unity with desktop cube, so that's my current setup.

Also I've recently tried reinstalling eve into clean wineprefix. Not really much tweaking needed - only dlloverrides. Not even winetricks to install those vc runtimes.

i switched to Xubuntu since KDE still isn't what I want in a desktop. Old skool 3.x user here Big smile

I'm still working on getting eve to work in it. I had it working well in Ubuntu but I had some issues and had to reinstall.
