Gentlemen, I would start by reading the thread, which pretty explicitly explains why these minutes are taking longer. There's no need to be confused.

It's taken almost a month for you to get the first drafts of the minutes?

Absolutely. We're already at over 120 pages, and that's not even including all of the sessions so far. Everyone asked for more transparency, this comes of course at the cost of added time, as we're finding out. Cool

As Two step already said, the minutes are complete, they're just being double-checked by everyone involved in preparation for release.

From what I gather the summit started on Wed. May 30th and concluded on Fri. June 1st. Add a couple of days to get back and settled in and start the clock running on Mon. June 4th. By my count that’s 45 days. I'm not blaming CCP as I understand they only recently got the draft for review.

As with any form of reporting, there is a balance between timeliness and accuracy. The former is pretty much out the window.

There is a real possibility the minutes will no longer be meaningful at this rate, whether due to topics no longer relevant (stuff fixed) or ideas already implemented.

For future's sake, figure out how to publish the minutes in a reasonably timely manner or the csm summit risks becoming inconsequential to the player base and the game as a whole.

well Seline had publish this 2 part blog which gave you vage information with in days of the summit

https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=118125&find=unread

For those who didn't want much detail this should have satisfactory.

I still stand by the idea the minutes, especially with the detail that they are being written in should have been release on a bit by bit basis.

As it stands I bet it will be information overload.

This would have also help keep quite to who say the minutes have to be timely

So we have the escallation to the Minuets the blog from Selene, The we should have had the Main release 2-3 weeks later. (all of Trebors work and some other completed Sessions, then followed with another up date 2 weeks later, then 2 weeks later... This way it would give the pod casters something to focus on for a while before the next topic arrives.

Someday I will have the time to play. For now it is mining afk in High sec. In Cheap ships

Why was Kelduum not involved with any of the writing?

I'm curious. And this is a test of transparency.

The issue would be that if someone wanted to know what happened at the summit, they would either have to watch 24 hours of video or rely on someone else to do so.

I have asked for stuff like this in the past, and I don't think CCP would be willing to do it.

I think its important to remember that there is nothing obligating CCP employees to appear on publicly-disseminated video, or audio for that matter. Many may not feel comfortable doing so, and that's totally fine. Just because you are shy or want to maintain privacy doesn't mean you're covering up some big secret or that you don't want to take responsibility for your statements.

So while l, too, think there isn't much harm in releasing the videos from an NDA point of view, it may never happen for this reason alone. That's why we're working to get as much transparency as possible while still making the developers feel comfortable, we want them to continue to share with us for many years to come.

Perhaps a better idea then would be a "Video CSM Blog" like what CCP Guard does with the Video Dev Blogs, that is "opt in" so that any Dev's who don't feel comfortable being on camera don't have to. It could perhaps be run at the end of the summit if there is time and having a quick recap/teaser of what's to come in the full meeting minutes

In short, I've been busy - business trips, moving, and large amounts of overtime at work intruding on my free time so I haven't had sufficient contiguous time to dedicate to writing up any of the sessions.

I've still been quite active when I can however, providing input/feedback on the CSM forum and Skype channel, as well as other routes, as I'm sure my fellow CSMers will confirm.

Given the circumstances of which I am aware, I do not have any complaints about Kelduum's level of activity on CSM. Or Seleene's for that matter.

Weren't you the People's Candidate? Wasn't it your platform to represent every player (not just E-Uni)? So, shouldn't you be a tad more visible? Blog posts? Forum posts? Podcast appearances?

As a previous poster mentioned, you fit a three day trip to Iceland into your schedule, why not a one-two hour podcast?

Maybe folks don't want to hear other CSM members have to confirm that you do stuff. Maybe we'd like to hear from the horse's mouth what exactly it is they do?

Based on how you disappeared from the public as soon as you won your seat, it would appear that you do about as much work as Darius III. Now if that is not true, then you should get on some soapboxes to let people know.

(Will you be remarkably busy during the writing of the next minutes? If you're too busy dealing with E-Uni, then perhaps you're not quite right for the CSM. Holy, imagine if you were the chair? What a joke that year's CSM would be.)

Poetic: I respectfully request that you keep this thread on topic: status of minutes and possible improvements for future minutes. If you feel you must embark on singling out a particular csm member please take that to another thread.

Hugs and kisses.

How about Darius III? He didn't have anything to do with the Summit Minutes either. Nor does he blog, forum post, or podcast.

This is pretty much what I expected of Kelduum. Visible and active until he won his seat, then he disappears back into managing his own corp, his CSM just a feather in his cap, rather than something he actually cares about.

(I don't bring the Russians into this, because of the language barrier. They are likely quite active and available to their countrymen.)

It is my view that working on the production of the minutes is the price you pay for actually getting to go to Iceland, and that if you don't go, any work you do is done out of the goodness of your heart.

You will note that Hans, Alek and Issler did not go to Iceland, yet all have done work on the minutes -- and Hans and Alek also attended many sessions via teleconference.

I believe you should keep that in mind next election season.

Thank you. You have told us all we need to know about Kelduum without having to actually bite any of your fellow CSM members on the ass.

Has CCP received this from yall yet to check NDA? I tried sifting through all the CSM posts here but I am having a hard time determining that. Thanks!

Yes, and all but one session has been approved by CCP. Once that session is edited or OK'd, the minutes should go out.

The cool thing about this summit is that CCP spent most of it talking about plans for Winter Expansion and beyond, rather than reviewing all the stuff that's already going to be released. So while historically your fears might be justified, these minutes should be released with details of CCP's Winter plans, before they've actually begin the work on the Winter Expansion. This is a huge step forward, because it means that they should be quite useful for players providing feedback in a timely fashion.

Also, as Two step has said, all the sessions were given to CCP for approval as they were completed, so all but one final session is ready for release. As soon as we get approval, you'll have them!
