Is it just me or is this years tourney really boring seeing the same set - ups? Most of the teams are fielding sleps, scim, and merlins or something similar.

yea, totally unlike last year. its not like 90% of the teams there fielded matari rush fleets or ecm fleets

I expect the 12 man rounds in a couple weeks will have more diversity. Bigger teams means more flexibility

Sometimes I, too, find ways to bore myself and tell others about it.

..and it's not like you see the same in space, right? There's always FotM, not only in AT, not only in EVE, not only in games. Hell, people use clothing that isn't optimal, just because it's popular to do so. Hah.

AFK-cloaking in a system near you.

6 pilot max + asb = lame rounds

If they want more action.. change these rounds to 8 pilot max, same 50 point max and only allow frigs/dessie/cruisers. T2 and pirate/navy allowed, but no logi. That would create some swift fighting with more diversity, and less 50 to 0-6 point boring to watch beat down victories. We could do with less sleps being burned into our eternal memories.

Have to agree. I hope 12 man are far better, currently I can already predict what ships will be in the next fight and what module they will definitively have Lol

There's been a few "out of the box" setups which have interested me. But they all seem to fail hard anyway.

I personally liked that setup with all the Vangels and Malices, sadly CCP decided that somebody winning the Tourney with a single fleet comp wasn't in any of your best interests. And you agreed.

That is simply because the 6 man teams don't have the power to break ancillary. Sliep has a shield boost bonus, and the merlin is the best frigate for the tank job with the frig rebalance and the resistance bonus it has.

The ratting itself is PvE. Getting away with it is PvP.
