It's like a football game where you are zoomed in on one player the entire time.

Zoom out, and rotate for perspective.

You missing all of the tactics and maneuvering of what's actually going on.

I recall in the older alliance tournament being able to see what ranges people warped in on, and it was very interesting.

Yes, eve has nice graphics, we get it. However, nobody actually plays zoomed in like this. You cant tell ANYTHING about what is going on from the main camera. I find myself squinting at the overview in the lower right much more than I am looking at the main display..

You don't get it. Players watching AT zoomed out is already-existing players who understand and want to see what is happening. CCP zooms in max to try to lure new players by showing off ships.

It's hard to sell Excel in space, so they're doing some creative false marketing instead.

AFK-cloaking in a system near you.
