Obviously I am years away (dedication and drive away also) from piloting a titan...but as a new player what would be the easiest way to see, in person, my first titan. Assuming I have no contacts anywhere, is there a place to go explore where there are a lot?

I assume I have to pilot a stealth bomber of sorts to not get myself killed onsight. any suggestions?

Type Avatar, Ragnarok, Erebus, or Leviathan into your chat window ingame, highlight it, and right click and navigate to the show item type option.

Showinfo on it once it is linked, and then click the preview image.

Expand the image to screen size.

Enjoy spinning a titan for as long as you wish.

Alternatively, you could join a 0.0 corp/alliance and take titan bridges errday.

Unless it disappeared since I last went there, there is an NPC Leviathan in the Luminaire Solar System.

Disclaimer: I do not actually play this game, I just forum warrior.

Not to dissuade you from your goal... but Titans are fairly useless outside of fleet logistics,"lolDoomsdayHitandRun," and camping gates with other Titans to "instapop" battleships.

The biggest reason (IMO) for not getting one is that you cannot dock in station.

They seem to be sufficiently popular without this facility.

Immagine the possibiltiies. Pay someone to fly you around eve. Or my favorite, fly around in titan solo, and when you go into war, let 100 frigs pop out

I feel you would want to be not-solo for the 100 frigs to do something useful.

The easiest way to see your first Titan is:
Fly to system Luminaire, fly to planet Caldari Prime.
The Caldari Navy forces left a Leviathan & a fleet there to protect their re-captured homeplanet.

See my blog entry for pics or read the history section on the old forums. It's quite impressive. Don't mind that they are shown as hostiles, they won't attack unless you do.

Keep in mind that NPC titans are smaller than actual ones. I didn't see my first real Titan until I got a cov ops ship. I was sitting behind a POS shield in low security space, and I was cloaked, but I was very excited to see it!

There's usually at least one in Amamake. An Erebus is the normal one thats there IIRC.

Edit - do note that Amamake is normally camped. Dotlan currently says there's been 271 ships and 129 pods killed in the last 24 hours - and its unlikely to be npcs doing the ship killing Blink

I thought the one at Caldari Prime/Luminaire is an accurate seize Leviathan (18km), but might be wrong of course.
The few other Titans I ever saw I was too busy getting away from...

My favorite video on ship seizes in general is this.

Big thanks to its creator! ;)

To reiterate, I have no desire to fly one myself. The whole docking thing breaks that for me. But thanks for that video, that was a cool comparison. I more want to experience that ah! factor seeing one in game for myself (doing to in an area where I know i would be killed makes that more surreal) so I guess some stealth runs might be fun.

- if you travel to Ammamake in your largest ship you might see a PL titan up close and personal whoring on your kill mail.....

- Or, if you travel to a system in Delve region called kee-n6 in your bomber you can probably find a goon titan or two online there waiting to bridge 300 hurricanes on some unsuspecting gang nearby. Perhaps if you get close enough you might even get to see the doomsday effect on your ship.
