I'm pretty nervous, I just want people to like me. I'm a pretty lonely person IRL and just want hugs.

I feel the commentators have definitely got to improve their use of the camera. While it is nice to see EVE's amazing graphics and particle effects, it is very hard to get an overview of the battle while zoomed in on an ishkur. The small window in the lower right is simply not enough to show the battlefield.

Perhaps simple things like starting centered on the beacon but zoomed all the way out to show where the teams have warped in at, followed by centering upon ships taking damage while still zoomed out to highlight where ships are in relation to them. Is this scimitar on 0 with the vindicator and webbed to hell and back, or is it slowly building range and possibly going to escape?

Granted this is the very first day so I look forward to things improving over time. Thanks guys for being bold enough to at least volunteer to be commentators!

Those are CCP dudes running the camera from CCP HQ. The commentators are just chilling cloaked on grid trying to figure out what's going on

Is there no way for the commentators to see all the ewar effects on the ships liek us spectators?

"there is like no damage coming from this team" - yes because they are ALL jammed by ecm drones...

Full marks to Raivi for excellent commentary. Kil2 also did a good job, allthough there was a few instances where he appeared uncertain of what happend. Lazarus Telraven was decent, given that it was his first time. Zastrow.... well. Sorry dude, but you are just unfunny, rude and on top of that dont seem to take your job seriously. You are commentating a live stream explaining EVE PVP to thousands of viewers, not jabbing with your friends over a beer. Pull yourself together, you can do better than this.

To CCP, good show. The new interface takes a lot of space but it also gives a LOT of information now. I just love the effects notifications, which makes it SOO much easier to follow what happens. On that note however, it seems to me like the commentators dont have the information that is available to the viewers. On several occasions it was plainly obvious what was happening just from watching effects notifications but the commentators were still discussing what MIGHT be going on. As a consequence, the commentators and the interface told different stories of what was happening on several occasions.

CCP needs to remove the pictures from the bottom of the screen. It's obvious you guys are looking at yourselves instead of watching the fights. I have no desire to look at you and you're all clearly distracted.

Not that I actually have a clue, but Kil2 said during the stream that those icons only show that the module is active. It doesn't mean that the jams are hitting.

Yeah theres a lot going on here that isn't obvious. We can see the ewar effects you see, but we see them on a delay. The ewar effects you see don't necessarily mean that the effect is actually making a difference (jams attempted but missed, or TDs applied but outside falloff).

And most importantly, getting used to using the new interface was just plain awkward for me for at least the first 4 matches. Hopefully we all get better at using all the information available as the tournament goes on. =)
