What is the quickest way to get a standing to 5.0 For instance if I want a Gallente (faction not corp) standing of 5.0 how would I go about getting this quickly?

How long would it take?

Did you already look at the Faction Standing Repair Plan?

With one of my recent alts, I managed to get him to 5 with about a month of casual play by having my fleeted main blitz level 2's and 3's. I'm sure you could knock it down to a week or less if you have lots of time to kill and didn't intentionally avoid missions that caused a huge hit in enemy standings like I tend to do.

Im not trying to repair (im at .44 standing) I am looking on how to get to 5.0 rapidly

Ok so if I do level 4 missions with my main and share with my alt that should do it as well?

WRT missions, the only ones that are going to boost your faction standings are the Storyline missions given out for every 16 regular missions of the same level/faction/maybe more.

If you haven't done it recently, you may want to consider doing the Sisters of Eve Blood Stained Stars Epic Mission Arc. Close to the end, you get to choose which faction you want to help and it boosts your faction standing fairly significantly, if I recall correctly. If you can run Level 4s, the missions should be cake.

Ok so pick up the standings with my main (caldari fw) and run those, and that will boost to 5.0 fairly quicikly? How many missions you think this would take or time? Im trying to get a measure of metrics

Whoever needs the faction standing boost should be the one accepting the missions, as the faction standing boost can't be shared. Then fleet with the other guy to clear the missions more quickly. Every 16th mission of the same type/faction/level (I think) will generate a storyline. It's certainly not a quick process, but it's one of the only ways to do it.

The Epic Arc should help out too, but it's like 40 something missions (although they all should be pretty easy).

You can also turn in tags at Data Centers to get faction standing, but make sure to secure the tags before talking to the agents in the Data Centers. You can google those.

The plan is a way to gain standings quickly, and is written in a way that shows how it can be applied to repairing standings. You could run those missions and get sec very quickly if you were that inclined to do so instead of jumping to conclusions about how you believe people have perceived this thread.

I've used The Plan to get from Gallente -10 to -1.7 in the space of a week. Having said that it's easier to repair than to build upon existing positive standings, you'll likely see gains of +2 or +1 status, but it should be quicker than just pumping out missions and getting the storylines.

The Gaming MoD - retro to modern, console to MMO, I blog about it if it's a game and I'm interested in it. Yes, I play games other than Eve and I don't care if you think I'm wrong.

Faction standing gain from storyline missions cannot be shared in fleet.

Faction standing gain from final mission in epic arc used to share in fleet, but CCP "fixed" it.

'The Plan' is much more than just a way to repair negative standings, it can also be worked to increase positive standings. If you only want to increase Gallente standings, then run all the Gallente Event Agents listed in 'The Plan'.

Just remember that completing Minmatar Event Agents will also help increase Gallente standing through derived positive standing increase. Also all Event Agents except for the Epic Arcs will give negative and positive derived standings to all Factions.
