So you admit that a population cap was in fact in effect. You may not realize it yet but once again your own words have betrayed you and made my argument stronger. You just blatantly admitted that a population cap WAS IN PLACE on a node that was SUPPOSED to be reinforced with the "beefiest hardware".

Any opportunity you had to save face slipped away when you stepped out of the realm of opinion and said that I was "wrong".
It looks like you got your hands full with this thread as it is. I won't waste any more of my time calling you out on your BS.
I will however say that if the delve war fails because of population caps then you might have to make some changes to the term "sandbox".

Sandbox*

*This sandbox has walls due to hardware limitations and poor allocation of finances.

You don't have the slightest clue about that which you speak do you?

1) With regard to burn Jita, WTF did you expect, local is 1000 in that system during offpeak hours. So you bonheads trying to flood the ONLY system in the game with a population cap with 2000 more people PLUS everyone there trying to shoot you vulture on the salvage and whatnot had predictable results.....they locked it down vice having the entire cluster crash.

2) Dynamic load sharing in a real time environment is EXTREMELY difficult, ever crash and get s socket error, yeah, that is systems being shifted around, remember this is a ten year old game and python isn't the most state of the art , its damn near as old as Unix.

So what you are asking is the entire system, every orbital body, any stations, their contents, all of the POSs AND 2000 characters to have their threads shutdown and restarted on another processor in the ONE ******* SECOND between client updates without losing any functionality to the clients.

Dream on, while I'm sure they are working towards it, I doubt they are putting that many resources towards, my company tried to make it work for about three years (weapons fire control) and couldn't make it reliably. So everything still runs by element with redundant servers shadowing everything the primary nodes are doing to AVOID having to breakdown and are re-created individual threads.

3) If you watched fanfest they HAVE the beefiest hardware in the industry, you quite literally have to get into custom built super computers to upgrade from HS22 blade centers and a X4 series servers. Better enterprise level hardware DOESN'T EXIST.

So they could through servers at it, but when you consider that it takes FOUR 1500 power supplies for each chassis, the power bill alone would likely sink the damn company, its would be a GROSS GROSS mis-allocation of resourses.

Explorer, can you put the entire Delve region on a single reinforced node? Or 2?
Delve is already on multiple nodes. If you guys can, then please send fleetfight requests for individual systems that you know will be "hot".

Thanks for totally ignoring my previous post about the grid not loading and the client crashing a bunch of times on my first major fleet op and how it's really not setting my exceptions very high for the rest of this war and what you can and will do to stop the issue from happening every single time i join a semi major fleet like it has happened the past couple of fleets i've joined since that post?...

oh he be mad...

Not mad, frustrated. I'm really enjoying EVE and this is meant to be the best part of it but i can't enjoy it because CCP can't get it to work and Explorer is ignoring my posts.

Yes.

I guess we will have to wait and see

Fixed that for you

Damn, carebears really hate alts. Every thread, "He's an alt", "Don't post with your alt", "Ban neutral alts."

Wont matter if you kill anyone you wont be able to loot the wrecks and salvage thanks to this new **** UI when is the rollback coming

I have had literally no trouble looting, salvaging, or mining with the new UI. Seriously, it has been no big deal.

What on earth is wrong with your brain if you haven't worked it out by now? You just drag the items to the left a bit now, just like you did previously, but this time, you drop it on a tree instead of a different box.

TiDi is up to the task.

Remember CJ 120 slowcats dumping drones, a near full fleet of bombers (and the bombs still worked), 400+ man fights on three grids at once for four hours.....no module lag, no black screens.

I even got my whoring gun on Veritas.

TiDi works great.

I haven't seen 50,000 people logged into this game at one time in a very long time.
