That's a bit of a problem.

See if people start shooting back, broadcast goes up, suddenly there's a few hundred more drakes waiting to undock and blargghhhh.

Then we go to chase "tackled supercaps" which ends up at someone's tower.. which we shoot ...

I am reposting the video and the PCGamer article everywhere that I can. The sheer magnitude of this event, regardless of which side you come down on, is immense and historical.

To be honest, I have not really concerned myself much with the doings in Null. But, the video and the events that are going on at this very moment in time are causing me to re-evaluate that position. I might have to apply to a Null-Sec corp/alliance. Anyone need a half-way decent Caldari pilot? Big smile

I say let the players worry about the politics, let CCP do the PR, no matter who makes the video. It was well done and a good talking point for people outside, and obviously in, the game.

CCP crossed the line of impartiality a long time ago... that is the reason that my response to their invitation to answer the annual survey was to thrown it in the waste basket as soon as it hit my inbox.

I did however take the time to respond to them via the email address they provided to once again tell them how poorly designed the resource "game" in EVE was regarding the notion of evolving challenging groups who compete over the control of Zero. I also repeated that they cater to groups like the Goons entirely too much... much to the detriment of their game, which inhibits player retention and subscriber growth.

I have only remained in EVE (at the expense of whoever it is that has paid for my PLEX by their isk that I screwed them out of) to see if CCP will ever actually make a "game" out of EVE worth playing. If they did, I would actually be willing to pay for that in cash. As it stands now, I spend my money on other online games.

Am I negative? No... I'm positive !

Well, this explains why recruitment channel suddenly has a lot of "OMG I WANT TO JOIN GOONZ TEH VIDEO WAS AWESOME" posts.

It also explains why there's been more "HELP! I NEED TO SEE A GOON REP ASAP MAH STUFF IS GONE" posts too.

Not sure what you mean by that... but if you are implying that you are going to "force" me into Null... you are too late... I've been in Null for years. I spend half my time in null screwing Alliance members out of their isk on the markets to pay for my PLEX. My complaints have nothing to do with the HighSec vs Null arguements. It has to do with the CRAP resource distributions that CCP has failed to balance in such a way as to foster the development of COMPETING Null Factions... NOT THE MAINTENANCE OF BORING ANCIENT REGIMES POURED IN CONCRETE. You know what they say about the entertainment value of watching concrete or paint dry !! Then again, I guess CCP doesn't know.

Well thanks for the youtube link, OP. That was pretty amazing, whoever put the film together deserves a medal. I especially liked the fleet of drakes, my heart swelled with pride when I saw em. Big smile

Look, the video wasn't a major propoganda fest at all, in fact, if anything, it resembled an advertisement for your typical boxing or UFC match. My only gripe is they scrolled through the opponenets list of alliances too fast so I really didn't see who all is involved. CCP isn't taking any sides by advertising this, it's just a really good video and it promotes their game.

I am finding it hard to believe test has 50k friends, I haven't always been here but I've never seen more than 52k or so log on, if this is true, the other side is kinda effed. P

You make a valid point, good Sir or Madam.

Explain to me how the resource game was designed to favor Goons. Cause when the moon rebalance happened almost all the valuable moons were taken away from Delve, where Goons lived at the time.

I just ignored your comment about the "resource game" because it's the same argument I hear from people who don't actually know anything.

I think you're missing the part where they refuse to fight when they outnumber us at least two to one.
Maybe it's because they know they'll still lose.
