CCP please consider giveing the Naglfar 3 Gun slots, the 2 guns 2 missile thing just sucks alot. split dps, from guns and missiles sucks.

the ship itself looks sexy just the 2 turrets and 2 launchers is kinda depressing.

redoing the model is NOT an issue since all they already added missile hardpoints.

They could always use that old standby of giving it a 100% damage role bonus to make the 2 guns count as 4, and change one of it's existing damage bonuses to something else.

Sorry whats wrong with it? I see them coming out top dmg dealer more often or not on kill boards?

In my own case, I don't want to have to train up two different capital weapons systems. The Nag is the only split weapon cap, it is from a time when they absolutely loved to give the minnies split weapon layouts.

so you want to be lazy, but not the best? May be you should have took a pass on minmatar then as they are all about needing massive skills to use there stuff. Look at the phoon its meh till you get the gun and missile and drone skills then its the best DPS tier one battle ship. Is what it is, naglifar is still awsome you should have just been gelente if you didn't have the stones to be minmatar.

I wanted to paint my space ship red, but I couldn't find enough goats.

4 offensive hard points?
A Armour repairer?

I mean its a simple toy compared to the preparation of other ships, yes cool, yes large and expensive but you need to take a seat back dude.

I was on the test server with me chimera and i had 4 naglfars, shooting at my carrier that was not in triage. and 4 of them couldnt break my shield tank. but when i asked 4 rev,4 pheonix, and 4 moros pilots to try in groups of 4 they managed to.

the sad thing is minmatar focuses mostly on alpha and they cant really do any sort of great alpha when they only have 2 turret slots.

and most alliances these days relie on alpha damage to quickly kill their enemy,

and for the person that said typhoon is the best tier 1 battleship with most dps going by 5 guns T2 with hail 3 torp launchers with rage ammo. 5 ogre II's and 2 gyros only gets 1181 dps at all level V

the armageddon with 7 guns conflag ammo and 5 ogre II's is right behind it with 1165 dps only a 16 dps difference between the two.

however the other thing you gotta look at is yes typhoon may do more damage but its missile hardpoints are limited to short ranges. unless you fit cruise launchers. but cruise launchers arent to healthy in pvp as because of flight times.

AutoCannons lose a huge amount of damage with range, coupled with the middle range of torps and no ability to switch to long range missiles further hinded by the huge sig radius and low explosion velocity on capital missiles and its quite hard with the nag to apply dps effectively on the battlefield (although if you are unfortunatly enough to have 4 nags warp to 0 on your carrier you WILL cry).

Definitely a ship that needs further tweaking tho it would be nice to see something different done with it rather than just make it another moros (except one that the guns can't be neuted off on).

Phoon should not use guns as the primary DPS. 5 Torps is the norm with neuts or RR in the extra slots.

Shield fits can get 1400 DPS and most Armor fits can get 1200ish without guns at all.

Nag is the only Dread with 4 DPS hardpoints. If your not trained to get max DPS out of it, it is not the fault of the ship.

Yes, it has 4 DPS hardpoints......but 2 of them are unbonused. Also, like the old Phoon before it had the 5/5 turret/missile layout, fitting damage mods only affects half of your weapons and you get poor bang for the buck out of them. Not to mention that atm turrets are categorically better than cap missiles, so getting saddled with two unbonused citadel launchers is an extra helping of subpar.

Requiring more SP to fly does not always make a ship elite. In this case, it makes it inefficient.

It was test server so it was probably 4 guys that just got in to dreads with almost no skills, see that alot on sisi.

So what happens one and if they look at BS and up sized missiles? How meany minies's will change there toon or will they still keep asking for guns only?

considering the nag outdamages a phoenix by far id say there were either **** pilots without skills, or youre just full of bs.

id rather see the capital torps changed, a lot. then the phoenix might be a viable ship as well. as it is, its the most useless ship in the game

not true. Naglfar outdamage other dreads with ZERO damage mods. WHen you install the standard 3 damage mods it become pretty pathetic.


Long tiem ago it used to have 7.5% rof on proj and 5% damage on missiles then got changed to 7.5% rof and 7.5% damage BOTH on projectiles.. then for some unknown reason they decided to nerf it massively to 5% on both.


I would prefer if they REMOVE the missile and increase the damage bonus so that the final damage is comparable to other dreads. Moros has same bonus but applied to 3 guns instead of 2 and this is NOT fair.
