Here comes my latest PvP vid, with improved (well, maybe) editing & song selection.

This vid is mainly about shield and active tanking ships, not like my previous ones which were focusing on nano pvp. Gang-booster alt was present at all fights in this video

lol the song selection was improved until we got to 'call me maybe'...

I enjoyed the video overall though m8, that sleipnir is OP I liked the dual rep domi fight a lot. I still have to say some of the fights could have been left out just for feeling too easy, like the last one against the carebears and sleip vs. loki. But nice job and I look forward to the next one!

Honestly, I'm really surprised about how much better this video is - not to mention how cool that Sleipnir stuff is. The editing - while a little rough around the edges - is much better. At the very least, it was very functional. All the Sleipnir stuff was awesome (as I mentioned above) and, for the most part, all the fights here were vastly superior to the ones shown in your previous videos. I'm intrigued to see what you bring out next. Anyway, to criticism:

• The non-Sleipnir fights were pretty boring, though technically speaking 'fine', and we have seen it before. Tripple-Rep Myrms, RR BS and Dual-Rep Domi's are nothing new. While yes, the case can be made that we've seen impressive active shield tanking (you say you were inspired by a similar usage of shield boosters in Kovorix's second Everlasting video), the fact that this specific set-up hasn't been shown before - and the basic concept hasn't been done to death (though I believe that will change pretty soon) - is enough. I still encourage you to go out and try more new stuff, as it's easily the best part of any video.


• Here's how the music selection went for me; "oh cool!" to "oh, interesting choice" to "oh god why do you hate your audience so much!?". Maybe avoiding anything that's been on a Fresh Hits CD from now on. Please?


• I think you've got to work on how you use gang footage. It can be great in it's own right, but as is in this video and your last it's kind of lacklustre. Due to the planned structure of the better gang fights you have, it might be worth outlining what the goal of said gang is when you started the roam and giving us commentary from the FC. It's a little late so maybe I'll come back later and pinpoint exactly what makes a good gang video, but there's certainly something missing here.


• Ganking carebears is almost never interesting, even on a gate. Yes, they brought a fight to you - but you were never in any danger. As a pirate I can respect the kills, but unless you feel like doing a pirate-centric video it's probably for the best if stuff like that is left out.


• You trying to bump was kind of funny in its own right. I'm not trying to sound like "lol u sux cuz you cant bump", but if you've got the time it's worth improving on.

And, finally, arbitrary numerical rating system out of ten:
8/10

Very nice video indeed. Solid editing, good fights.

My reaction to the music:
1 - "Hmm, nice. This sounds what I imagine this Parov Stelar guy I read about, wanted to check out and kept forgetting while on the pc sounded like. Let's finish the video and then spend some time on youtube."
2 - "Huh? Ah well, there is no point copyrighting songs for eve videos... wonder what his motivation for using it was." ... later: "Ah ok, this. Greedy indeed."
3 - He could at least have used the Pandemic Legion version... (fight us maybe?)

I was definitely entertained, please make more. That setups are tried and tested does not put me off like it appears to do with others. Sure, truly great videos require some innovation, but making them is hard, and there is definitely a wide range of good and very good videos beneath "truly great".

It is called "Master Passion Greed", accompanying a clip in which I, too, was too greedy (and, unlike you here, fighting badly), resulting in the loss of my ship. I thought you had chosen the song for that

I was not trying to attack you in any way. Actually, the main part of my post was that I finally spent that hour on youtube, looking up Parov Stelar, after enjoying your video.
