Derived standings changes with career agents

I'm wondering if anyone has an explanation for something I noticed last night while running the career agents for Caldari with two separate alts:

On the new alt I received derived standings changes with both Amarr and Ammatar Mandate when completing each branch of the career agents as I would expect given the usual formula for derived standings changes.

On my older alt who started our with 5.0+ standings with Amarr, Caldari and Ammatar I only received changes with Caldari and derived improvements with Ammatar.

The missions were run simultaneously across two computers and not fleet shared or anything.

Is there a game mechanic I'm missing? or is Eve stuffing up the calculations somehow?

Standing Relationships

The 'In-Game Inter-Faction Relationships' graph is read from the top down. The 'Derived Inter-Faction Standing Modifier' graph is read from left to right.

The derived standings have a cap and when your character has reached it, no more derived standings will be incurred. This is for both negative and positive derived standings.

Ah I see what I missed now.

Thanks for that, hadn't realised that the ammatar had a higher cap than amarr with Caldari.
