Possible to scoop targeted ship to Orca?

Would a miner who's being suicide ganked be able to use an Orca alt to save his ship by scooping it up after the ganker has taken GCC? I've read conflicting reports, has anyone tried this?

if it works like station mechanics you should be-able to dock up

i am fairly sure you can't leave your ship if you have been attacked tho. so no scooping an abandoned ship. tho getting out of your ship would porlly be suicide

Not sure if you can dock it or not, definitely worth testing on Sisi with a friend to see what happens?

Why not use the Orca to rep the ship being attacked with large shield transfers?
