Need a self destruct skill.

-10% time per level.

yeah there needs to be a skill.
the skill should be a rank 5 and along with it, the SD timer should be changed to 10 minutes.

Wouldn't mind one that turns your ship into a giant smartbomb. If you can SD in time, you deal damage to those swarming around you caught in the blast. I'd trade my pod for that. I can only imagine the destruction wrought by people SDing in high-sec to take out other ships...

SD timer at 10 minutes, each level giving a 16% time reduction for -80% time to self destruct at level 5.
20% of 10 minutes puts us back to the original two minutes.

Really, the suggestion was in fun since I podded myself 6 times last night to fly a bunch of ships through a 6 bubble blockade. When you do it over and over, the timer gets annoying.

I agree, 10 min for subcap, 20 min for capitals. It's pretty lame when a much smaller corps owns a big corp and points one of their caps, then they just self destruct because 10-20 sub caps will never kill any cap in under 2min.

The thing is that it isn't podding yourself around gatecamps that the SD timer needs to be balanced around. The thing it has to be balanced around is capitals/supers SDing to deny KMs and loot. It's typically easy enough to find someone kind enough to pod you to your destination.
