In this game? Why the hell do I see the word jew used as a prejoritive here more than anywhere else, without anyone speaking up in channels when it happens?
I used to see Goons as loveable scamps but the term they came up with for their cabal and used repeatedly in the self congratulation thread was just sickening. And it just gets snipped? Is it really not a big deal with anyone?

Only time I see Jew used is when people are whoring isk. Its not in an offensive way. Just hanging onto old stereotypes.

I can't say even ever seen that. I've gotten some rather inventive sexist comments during PVP, but rarely "jew".

France and Germany still care and have very strict rules about it.

I just had a butter knife pulled off ebay because it has a reich stamp as one of the manufacturer marks.

yes, fear the butter knife of hate, nevermind that I can buy several dozen mauser parts, holsters, shovels, canteens and or coins all bearing the same mark from their site (everything manufactured in Germany during the reich was stamped).

this is what happens when someone in India tries to interpret policies in english from 3 different countries, none of which are India. Sounds a lot like the current situation

CCP likes taking the goons money to play eve so I can't really see them doing to much to curb thier behaviour online because when the trolls can't squawk their crap they tend to get distracted and find something to occupy thier time. I mean a paltry one month ban for a guy who caimpaigns for the community to help push a guy over the edge is ridicculous, and acctually cleaning up thesee fourms would take a sisyphean effort. Its better to stay off the fourms and eve in general if this kind of ass hatery gets to you. It won't change because the internet and the goon trolls won't change and ccp isn't willing to do whats needed to stop it.

Like it or leave it really.

Raising awareness on the forums that people may be taking the stereotype a bit too far is gentlemanly of you (i.e. try to nip the problem in the bud with a little awareness and community self-policing before calling in the heavy hand CCP to intervene.) But if you're genuinely offended or concerned that the jokes/humor have wandered into the realm of exceedingly poor taste or straight up hate speech, then petition it.

I would like to think that most Eve players understand the difference between general asshattery and evil. Meaning, I would like to think that folks are on the "You Don't Mess with the Zohan" side of the line instead of the "Achtung Juden!" side.

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.
