Tested it, I was trying to do the stuff I usually do on Tranquility but so far I see no difference I must say. But again when I hide my UI (for screenshot) , seems the framerate goes up quite significantly.

Confirmed, hiding the UI causes the framerate to jump upwards by about 20-30 FPS.

Done, I hope it helps.

I just restarted my computer and the fps on singularity seems to be back to normal. I don't think there has been any update between these two posts, so I don't know what fixed it.

I experienced similar performance issues.
Hiding the UI does also increase FPS significantly on my clients.
In addition to that I noticed that anti aliasing sets itself to High from Disabled, from time to time when I undock form a station. When I enter captain quarters for example it is turned off but when I enter hangar view it is turned on again. There is no way to disable or change other than to restart the client, AA for me when it enabled itself like this.

I will update Singularity and run some tests there.

SISI same problem.

Single client logged on, 60FPS.

2nd Client logged on - 6FPS.

2nd Client l0ogs off - 60FPS again - but warping to gates, anoms, stations sometimes results in dropping to 5FPS again.

Bug Report sent from my alt on SISI with screenshots and details of how to replicate.

Still NOT working on SiSi, at least using fixed window mode. Using interval Default when in station and running 4 clients the frame rate should be and was 60fps with Inferno 1.0 for all 4 clients, now running 30fps with Inferno 1.1. If I switch Monitor 1 to Fullscreen it jumps to 60 fps. What has been fixed is the decrease in framerate when in space, the in station framerate and in space framerate are the same.

That is also good point, the anti-aliasing is turned on probably on high it can be seen just visually that there are almost no jagged lines or anything even from great distance and I am having it everywhere apart from captain's quarters also. Even as it is disabled in settings, it is probably the same value as if it were set on High. So another major issue that is causing framerates to go slow.

It really feels like single client is worse but the problem is deeply shown when running two, then it shows its exponentially worse over time.

My problem is a little stranger, I can run 8 clients on my machine with a GTX 460 gpu, which is my old GPU, my new GTX 670 will struggle to run 8, to the point of being a slideshow. Same computer, i just switch the GPUs over.

In comparison the GTX 670 is about 4 times better than the GTX 460, it's a near £400 GPU with 1344 cuda cores vs a £90 gpu with 344 cuda cores, and yet the high end 670 GTX is the one that struggles, while the 460 GTX performs a lot better, ever since inferno 1.1 patch? Doesn't make sense why I get far more peformance out of an older card than a brand new high end one. Again, this only started happening since inferno 1.1

This problem started as soon as the 600mb inferno 1.1 patch was deployed.

Tested stuff on Singularity, and there was no significant improvement of client performance, even that AA bug was existent.

Also I had a quite nice fleet battle in TDE4-H a few minutes ago, but the client performance was really horrible.

Here a picture of the FPS and Monitor window (notice that I was docked at that moment):
http://i.imgur.com/QO6vm.jpg

I was at max zoom out almost all the time. Before the patch on monday I was able to play in fleet battles with a constant 40+ FPS. But this is quite the game breaker for me.

I'd have a more extensive graph showing on the monitor window but my ISP wouldn't let me participate in that fleet battle w/o resetting my internet connection.

PS. I also use Fixed Window Mode, since I have a dual screen setup and play either on the left, the right or both screens or a combination of those.

On my single-client dual-monitor setup, I tried to reduce the screen to a single monitor and switched from "fixed window" mode to fullscreen mode. This _seems_ to have restored performance, but I'm still testing out.

Could it be a problem with fixed window mode? It seems like a lot of people affected are either running multiple clients and/or multiple monitors.

Hi, the fix I was referring to is currently on Singularity.

Just tested on Singularity and the problem is still there:
Before jumping through gate: Antialiasing off, everything fine.
After Jump: AA is on, fps down to 2-5.

It kills my whole operation system since the update (windows7slowdown). It occurs randomly. First observed when entering the map, but happened elsewhere also.
After quitting eve, things get back to normal. Restart eve, works fine a while, then repeat. However no high cpu or ram issues.

2 monitor setup with 1 client running.

I have the same problem but anti-aliasing does not seem to be a factor in my case.

GEForce GT 325M
4 GB RAM
Intel Core i5 CPU M450 @2.4 GHz

Running one or two clients seems to have little or no difference. All graphics settings are disabled or lowest.

The clients will periodically run at 60 FPS for 4-5 minutes then drop down to 10 FPS. The only thing that I have found which effects them every time is hiding the UI brings it back up to 30ish FPS as others have reported.

This was not an issue before the recent patches.

For what it's worth, I too am experiencing this problem.

FPS while sitting in station is roughly 26FPS, while before crucible 60 fps wasn't a problem.

For me, the problem only really manifests itself after long hours of gameplay. If I happen to reboot my computer, and re-enter the game I have no problems.

If I tab between clients enough times, or let my machine idle (eating dinner or whatnot), then I comeback to laggy clients.

I thought I had fixed this yesterday by going into my nvidia control panel, and telilng my driver to prefer performance over going to sleep or whatever, which worked for me yesterday, but it seems I'm back to square one today as that isn't working for me.

Edit: I should mention my GPU/CPU are more or less idle, and my ram usage is negligible.
Edit 2: I just rebooted and am back at 148 FPS. Lol
Edit 3: It's now been 1 hour since my last update, and my FPS has dropped to 133 FPS. Sad
Edit 4: Another hour has passed. No noticable frame rate drops quite yet, but noticing "sputters". Drops to 107 FPS and recovers quickly to 133ish FPS.
Edit 5: Another hour has passed. FPS has now dropped to 124. Slowly but surely, it's getting slower and slower.
Edit 6: Several more hours have passed, I'm at 115 FPS. Still going down slowly.

Just a reminder, this is a "docked and doing nothing" test. I'm sure I could accelerate it, by undocking, and blowing up people's stuff for a while, then redocking for the night or whatever.

I tried setting all kinds of texture filtering methods to OFF in the driver settings. So far, this brower is lagging as hell when eve is running, but eve itself is playable again (60+ FPS). Also activate dual monitor acceleration.

Just ran a benchmark on my 670 GTX and 460 GTX gpus, same system

460 gtx only scores 2040 on the benchmark, goes to nearly 80 degrees temp too, and only 35 fps
670 gtx scores 4400, max 70 degrees temp, 75 fps

The 670 GTX wins hands down.

Yet i'm forced to use the 460 GTX for EVE since inferno 1.1 because for some reason it gives me much better FPS than the 670 GTX does, only happens in EVE, and only since inferno 1.1

Also only happens when logged in, the EVE login screen is pretty resource heavy, but the 670 GTX can smoothly run way more clients than the 460 GTX is capable off, at the splash login screen, this problem only seems to start upon actually entering the game.

I tested the exact point the FPS drop occurs, it's when i actually enter the game and the ship/UI loads in space, haven't tried it docked, i logged in in space.

Had all my clients at character select, steady 30-35 fps. I logged in one character, the fps on that character remained 25-30. I logged in a second character, and within 20 seconds my FPS dropped to 5-10 across all clients, even the ones still at character select screen have dropped to 10-15 fps, whole computer is slowed down by it. GPU is only at 52 degrees, it would go up to about 70-80 if it was being pushed really hard. Cpu usage 30-50%

Next I closed the clients on the two I had logged into space with, my performance did not recover much, the remaining clients at character select are only seeing 15-20 fps, it's jumping between 15-20 even though nothing is happening on the screen.

I have plenty of memory free too, over 6GB free.

I think the key thing i notice here is when the actual performance decrease occured, it was when i logged in a second character into space.

I'm running EVE under Linux (using Wine) and I've had the same issue with low FPS immediate after patch, even on a single client. For some unknown reason, the following workaround fixes the issue,

Hardware: nVidia 9400 GT with drivers 302.17

1. Login to EVE - 3 fps on a POS
2. go to nvidia-settings utility, and rotate screen - fps up to 15 fps
3. rotate the screen back to normal - back to old normal 28 fps on the POS

This was with Interval immediae. When I switched to Interval 2, FPS dropped in space to 10 fps. I rotated screen with nvidia utility, and BOOM, back up to 30 fps..

Session changes, etc. appear to have no effect so far.

Why screen rotation fixes the issue, is a mystery to me.

Even with the settings resetting after jumping, it’s not enough to explain the slowdown... i could play with 5 clients with all setting maxed at 60fps. minnie V3/fsaa is in no way enough to explain a drop in fps.

Something else is broken... I’m not sure if CCP is actually reproducing this error on their test machines... it’s not a "slowdown", that doesn’t quite describe the issue. Its “frustrating unresponsiveness” with a touch of "5fps" followed by “ctrl+alt+del and killing the process”...

I haven’t played any eve since 1.1 was launched.

Been playing on and off for a few years, and stopped playing a while back because of lag issues. This is far worse. It's not just the slow frame rate (this is awful for me I'm getting under 3) - as mentioned by others, entire response rate is awful. If I request a mission, it takes over 5 seconds for the mission text to come up... basically makes the game unplayable... I certainly can't do what I want to be doing...

I'm just running 1 client, have an old PC with 4 gig of ram and a Nvidia geforce 8400M GS graphics card.

What ever has been done in this latest patch has really messed things up.
