Mayor slowdown with multiple clients. [Fix'd on SiSi]

I’m running 7 clients, never had a problem before. Now after updating all the clients "forget" the name of the account, they all used to remember their corresponding account name. And they also work fine for a while after launch, but i get a crippling slowdown. The slowdown doesn’t come with time; it seems it gets triggered after doing a system jump, but not every time.

As soon as the slowdown starts all clients become unplayable, and the only way around it is to logoff or quit the game.

Seems it’s NOT a problem with the hardware or the gfx of the game, rather something that runs almost every time i jump system. I say this because if it were a gfx problem it wouldn’t go away with a logoff with no restart.

The problem persists regardless of client graphic settings, cache clearing, toilet flushing, or incense burning.

Anyone else has this problem?

This appears to be fixed on the current SiSi build. after one hour of flying around and jumping all the time, the client is stable.

if you have this bug on the live servers, please check SISI to see if the bug is fixed for you.

Yes same problem here, and it's not jumping because i'm sticking to 1 system and it just gets slower and slower to the point of being near unusable.

Same problems here with 3 clients. Framerate has dropped from a steady 60fps to a struggling 24-28fps.

This is now in a worse state than before the optimisations made in the last expansion. :(

Nothing seems to be bottlenecking. Plenty of free memory, cpu and gpu at < 40%

Edit: If I minimise the other two clients, the 3rd client returns to exactly 60fps like before. I dont notice any changes when jumping to/from different systems.

yeah, there seems to be a progressive slowdown, but jumping triggers a complete slowdown. from 60 down to 3 fps instantly.

1 client runs at 70-150 fps. When i start second client (own folder on HDD) both clients (both window mode) drop to 2-10 fps. Awesome patch.

Happened to me with single char on, while jumping thru wh, and changing from map. Fps from 40-50 to uplayable 1fps

On my laptop, same thing with 3 clients, on stargate this time from 40 fps to 3-8.

+1 from my corp as well.

Getting major FPS slowdown on a single client here. I used to run about 60 FPS on high graphics settings. Now I get 20-30 FPS on low graphics, and jumping through a gate causes it to slow about 10. Using a jump bridge causes a huge spike in lag and my ship doesn't load until I've been in warp for several seconds.

WTF? This patch is really pissing me off.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

Confirming from the Linux realm. Myself and 1 other player in the Linux channel also reported having framerate drops. My framerate has tanked considerably since patching today.

Ubuntu 11.10
Wine 4
Running at around 5 fps while nothing is on the grid and while warping.

Edit: Also it is worth mentioning I only run 1 client.

+1

I used to run two clients, two monitors, window mode with no issues, fairly consistent at 60fps. After this patch I was running some missions while salvaging on the other client and when NPCs were on grid my fps dropped to around 10-20fps until the NPCs were killed. This patch broke something.

It's running VERY slow even when using a single client (I have two monitors though, and use fixed window for that); it's almost unplayable even at minimum graphics ("optimize for performance") and max zoom out. Did CCP accidentally ship a Debug build instead of a Release one?

Confirming this is also happening to me, any chance of getting word of when something may be done to fix this, kinda making it impossible to do much other than ship spin...and even that is hard, some of us have a war to fight Shocked

Same here, single-client with dual monitor in fixed-windows mode. Graphics card is AMD HD 6870, latest catalyst drivers.

Please look into this, the game is unplayable right now :(

Same issue here, and on only one client. Have all effects turned off, evreything set to low, and my FPS has dropped to ~30 while zoomed in. I get issues when I undock as well with my framerate dropped to like 5fps until I zoom in, move the camera around for a little bit and then zoom back out.

No idea what's going on, but this is really annoying and I frankly I don't care about graphical improvements if they **** all over my play experience (read: fps).

Same issue, 1st client opened, runs fine. 2nd client has major issues with performance. Even turned all settings to low with no change to 2nd client. Never got out of the system, it's bad as soon as I leave the station.
