Future of PI?

Have any future plans for PI ever been announced or hinted at?

Also, any chance PI will ever become less personal with more corporation options, like shared corp hangars or connecting to Corp mate structures?

Just curious. Thanks for any info!

More corp involvment would be cool, it is screwed up that the POCOS are a corp thing but the PI is individual.

It is also screwed up that you can't contract a hauler to move the goods. This basically means all PI pilots also have to train some sort of transport.

I think PI could be done on two levels, personal surface mining, and corporate deep mining that can be linked to DUST.
On the corporate level you can get a much larger yield of PI items when controlling specific planetary structures.

Also seems kind of silly that you can't just sell/buy directly from the POCO. Meaning, the POCO is essentially a mini trade way station. OTOH, from an RP perspective, the big station owners wouldn't want the small fry in the POCOs as competition.

Reminds me of the train companies versus trucks friction when trucking started to make inroads.

I'm thinking there will be a big update to PI or at least planetary resources in general when Dust hits. If the primary interaction between dust players and EVE players is on planets, they're going to need to make the planets (and the resources gained from them) more crucial to the economy to get people to fight over them properly.

In the cat-and-mouse game that is low sec, there is no shame in learning to be a better mouse.

Pi will have its value decreased in the near future to the whole number 3.
