Hi-Sec POS standing question: Do corporations lose faction standing?

I'm interested in setting up a hi-sec POS for research, and am looking into using one of the corp standing increase services.

I have no standing towards any faction. From what I understand, it will take 7 days from the time the guy joins my corp to increase the standings, and then he will leave.

My question is, after he leaves, will my corp standings revert to nothing after the next downtime, after 7 days, or will they remain as long as no one with standings joins the corp?

To clarify, I'm aware standing is only needed for anchoring. But I'd like to know if the standings degrade because I'd like to go ahead and get the standings, but am not completely ready to set up the POS. Obviously, if they degrade, I'll wait on the standing service.

P.S Those offering POS anchoring services should already be more than familiar with this mechanic.

Corp standings only change if there is somebody in the corp to change them.

If everyone in the corp has no standing at all towards the sovereign faction, and you hire someone to raise the standing, when that hired person leaves the corp the corp standings can remain unchanged forever.

Corp standings are calculated every downtime, so the standing at the previous downtime before they left the corp will remain.

If you invite someone to the corp that has low standing, their standing will affect the corp standing after 7 days.

Those commenting on what other people should know, should know at least as much themselves.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Actually, I had an inkling that might be the case (where no corp members have any standings whatsoever) but went ahead anyway with a "general" post.
If it's missing something, usually folks like Tau steps in to add.
