Rancer.... you may have heard of it, 6 jumps out of Jita, you may have been there, and most likely if you have you'll have lost your ship or had a good fight. In which case you will have heard of us - The United [BL3H] - part of the Negative Ten alliance, the clue is the name, we're all -10 (and flashy red, if you set up your overview that way) - it doesn't take particularly long if you kill pids at the rate we do. We've lived in Rancer for 5 years and will be here till CCP turns the servers off. We're pirates, we gate camp - yes you heard it correct, GATE CAMP, we're good at it, and we love it. Yes yes, i hear the cries of "you just play EvE on Easy" and "Low-sec suck, real players fly/fight in 0.0" and "you aren't real pirates" - its nothing new.

And you know what, we don't care........ 3 out of the top 5 pod killers are members of The United (per CCP's blog ) and at the time the blog was written the highest number of low-sec kills EXCLUDING T1 frigates, rookie ships and shuttles was held by The United. We have, over our tenure in Rancer destroyed 10 trillion ISK worth of property. Yes, we kill Rookie ships ( some of our best loot drops are from noob ships - carrier skill books are often seen and BPOs are a regular drop), yes we kill pods (as I previously mentioned - and we so love the podmails detailing implants - our best podkill was worth 5.3 billion ISK) and YES we kill shuttles (you try catching a shuttle in low-sec in a gate camp - remember no Interdiction bubbles in low-sec for all you 0.0 "I play EvE on easy mode" pilots, shuttles occasionally drop good loot too).

So for those that scoff when they look at the proportion of shuttles and noob ship kills, keep scoffing whilst we scoop the loot.

We aren't just a one trick pony though, we've dabbled in other things, sometimes we'll jaut over to the otherside of the pocket and camp the Bei gate in Hagilur. We once tried a bit of Factional Warefare, but that didn't go too well when we enticed our own side into Crielere with promises of a fight and killed them all. That did prompt a visit from MNC reported Benjamin Zimmerman and I recall the response to his question as to why, being "...its an experiment in social engineering, how to capatalize on human stupidity for ISK gain."

We've partaken in and won Hulkageddon 3, which isn't bad going considering that we are all -10.0 and have the minor inconvienence of having to avoid Faction police and tank the guns as we pass through high sec to the Mining Barge rich pastures.

Speaking of Gate Guns that's another factor the "low sec is so gay" brigade seem to convienently over look. You try tanking a ship so that it can sit on the gate and permenantly absorb the xxxdps from the gate guns whilst still being able to tackle a another ship and deliver over 500dps, then you can consider yourself qualified to pass judgement as to the sexual orientation of low sec inhabitants. Until then come to Rancer and take a number, get in line and when your turn comes take your chances. Many have tried and given up, but hey, you know where to find us.

Back to jita kid. If you could not assume what the content of this thread was about from the title, then maybe you shoulda gone to eve uni mkay. Then you wouldnt have wasted your 3 mins.

Many congrats to my old friends. Rancer is like a roach motel. You can check in but you won't check out. Good times to be had in Rancer. Good people.

tbh it is tricky, due to you must have high enough scan res to catch those ships. So with that your left armor tanking and if your armor tanking your dps is going to to be ****** and therefore not going to be able to kill "said" things. So either way sheild or armor tanking "perm" on gate can get tricky if you do it alone.

Gf to be had... , we went in rancer today to fight your gatecamp, with 4 ships and all you did was dock and smacktalk :( .

Here's looking for 50 years of whining, bitching and crying that we don't play fair or smartbomb stuff

Those smartbombers are a great source of isk for the corp wallet and take it from someone who sits near them with a comms feed it is suprisingly hard to get it right, timing things to perfection to bag cloaked ship after cloaked ship.

As for cloaky legions... wtf? are they those buggers who sit and whine in local at how "neg ten this" "neg ten ate my dog" "Neg ten suck"
