If you're doing something you don't need help with and people come to take 2/3 of the reward for it, you should be shooting THEM. The hawk was just trying to help you out.

they weren't on your comms or in your fleet and you had full aggro... the best you could have done is take that aggro while the other two fought..

you did the right thing.
