Looting taking over the cargo window is still high on my list of annoying crap. I wish that CCP would either implement a mappable key to 'loot all' or allow an ability to have cans and wreck spawn in a separate window like they used to. When I am using a Noctis it isn't such a big deal, but when I am looting with other ships it sucks to have to track the mouse back and forth on the screen to hit 'loot all'.
..

This is the biggest annoyance.

New cans in space should at least auto open (with a setting of course) to a new window.

If I'm ratting in lo sec, I cherry pick through the loot, so I must open a loot window. When I loot/salvage a mission, I "loot-all" because I have enough cargo space and there is no need to warp out ASAP.

Here's an idea: make a toggle for an "auto-loot-all" function that won't open any winows at all. When you are within range, it loots-all into cargo with no windows involved. That way, you could start pulling in cans from all around you, when they are in range, activate the salvagers and the looting takes care of itself. Of course, any existing warnings would still apply, like prior to accidentally tipping someone's can.

That would solve that problem for me, and I think it would be an improvement compared to all this unnecessary clicking to do something that is so repetitive.

An example is in Diablo III - you just run up to the stacks of coinage on the ground and they are automatically sucked into your wallet. There are even buffs so you can "suck coins" from greater distance. It works really well, and saves mondo clicking when it is really not necessary.

There are still a lot of things to fix, but the dev team finally seems to be heading in the correct direction. But which will happen first: glacier melt off due to global warming or fixing the new UI ?

The new inventory made my gaming easier by removing the willingness to pay for 2 other accounts.

I can thus dare to say that the new inventory reduced significantly my global number of clicks by unifying all my accounts into a single one.

Since the latest client patch I experience massive game stuttering when opening the inventory, on 3 different computers including one that can run 7-8 clients at max resolution, max graphic details and with no FPS drop.

I noticed the windowing system seems partially single threaded, the rest is cooperative time splicing. This is some nice 1990 technology we got. Not only CCP imitated windows 3.1 in poor functionality but also in poor threading.

In a related note, we just finished testing drag and drop to open separate cargoholds. Sorry we didn't get it in on Monday, but it's going in the next one and should show up on the test server at the next update Big smile
