Thank you for thread 24 on this very topic. Your opinion is highly valued and deserves to be singled out.

Also, I find all of this hilarious. I can't wait until the goonspiracy of August/September.

What about July?

July it's coco oil sun glasses beach all day long. Evening of course all those ebony slave girls will be ready for the "goonie ride"', it's something about some "bzzz" stuf, honey alcohol, fly to get high and stuff. Lol

OP makes a good point. It's like the police of today - no way could Britain's police force stand up to a riot by all 70 million of our citizens, but the individual's fear of being caught makes the "thin brown streak" appear omniscient and omnipresent to all. They are just people, but the uniform and the illusion makes them invincible in our eyes. CCP needs to be the dreaded arbitrators again, not these jesters who poke fun at their own size and encourage Goonies to **** in the sandbox.

No he doesn't he's ********.

What the guys (The Goon members) did, as I said in the other thread, is similar to finding the re-spawn rate of officers and farming them for a couple weeks. While farming the officer spawns, they tell CCP about this and the public says they think they can figure it out but CCP does nothing. Then, the guys who found the officer spawn rate tell everyone how they did it, and CCP gets mad.

This is what it's like. It's not similar to anything in RL because we're playing a video game.

i wasnt saying that. Im not anti goon.

All i was saying that the 5 guys could have made a point to CCP, that the game was broken and still made money off it. They didnt have to go 1 trillion each, thats less of making a point and more of cashing in while they could. Ireckon if they just did something like 20b each then told CCP with proof then it would be over and they'd probabl;y get to keep the change

again im not anti goon, dont read what i say in that light lol

So using intended, but shoddy, game mechanics is fine until you make a certain amount of money (and nobody knows what that amount is) but if you make any more than that you get it all taken away?

That's rather like saying 'we're not going to put up speed limit signs on this badly maintained road but if you drive too fast we're going to impound and crush your car'.

(it is A Car Analogy)

yo bro, your buddies said they knew the mechanic is broken. and they abused it.

Titans and XL tracking is/was broken too, and we've said so loudly and repeatedly, does that mean that every goon who flies a titan should be punished?

The sandbox is fine. Goon players involved knew perfectly well they faced a risk in doing this, even though they're trying to spin it very hard against CCP. This was clearly players taking advantage of something inadvertent on the part of CCP. CCP chosing to negate the isk they gained is just something they will have to live with.

The sky is not falling, Chicken Little. Some people just have a bit of egg on their faces and don't like it. They are reaping consequences they earned. If Goon was metagaming, CCP is metagaming back.

Thank you, this right here. Players are getting bent out of shape for CCP metagaming ultimately, in a game where metagaming is all but the norm.

No, no it's not. One is a player dictated form of farming, the other is dictated by a programmed schedule, and that schedule cannot be affected by the players. They have to wait for it to pop up, as it were, rather than whiling the day away manipulating the LP market.

Even video games need real life to give them some idea how they should operate.
