Yea personally the new font is easy read for me, but I use a big old Cathode ray tube most if the time.

Looking at them screenshot reminded me though;

On the HD flat screen, all fonts had to be made much larger or it was a bit fuzzy and had bits missing.

I did assumed it was cos I got the flat screen cheap, But all the HD flat screens in the local supermarket have definition issues and blur.

Of-course, it could be my eyes have grown used to seeing the Cathode ray tube more definably. For me the HD is a lie.

Dunno if that helps any, explains why people say my name funny and mess up gate and destination names.

Thats how the old font looks to me, and the new fond is simply more easy read, but I don't have a screen shot ATM.

This is my font as well, it looks so much better than the new one IMO because it is crisp and clean, but the new one is fussy and "broken" around the corners

Can I manually change the font to be something that I like. I hate the new font and loved the old one. You can't make everyone happy but choices can go a long way towards it.

this new font is looks a little bit "stupid"... i dont want to hurt anybody. its too big on 100 and "unreal" and i got a headache and its far away from eve for me. on 90 it looks too small and annoying to read anything. i'd like to select the font myself... and the size of it. for example i like the previous version much better... i want it back... :) by the way... the crucible is look fantastic and i cant stop warping! :) great job!!!

I HATE the new font.....
It makes me ALMOST not wanna play the game!!!
It looks like the standard font of the old Windows95 Notepad....
It looks like a bug.
It looks like someones been fooling around... : "HAHA Nice joke, now change it back!"


If some people had problems with the old font.... Im glad for you now we have a new font integrated!
But CCP PLEEEASSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New font legibility improvement is good, though it appears that a LOT of the improvement is due to the new font being BIGGER, not due to the actual font changes.

New font BIG SIZE makes UI less useable.

Give us font SIZE control!

Unfortunately i cannot be constructive here, as previosly mentioned font looks like its some kind of joke, better yet, there is a better example, eve looks like a cheap Item Mall based F2P korean game, this doesnt add good publicity or attracts new players, please oh please, change the fonts back or at least give us the option to use old ones.

Cyber'Tech hit the nail on the head.

I find this new font unreadable.

It's already cost me a ship because I couldn't read my overview properly.

Either old font back, option to switch between, or... or... or! :(

what scaling do you use? could you provide a screenshot in lossless compression (png?) so we can see what display problem you are talking about?

given, there are issues with the new font + scaling, but overall - especially if you consider the options for many people - it is better than the old system! thx CCP for making it happen!

i see a need to improve on
a) the dot "." too small
b) font being t o o s p r e a d o u t
c) "9" little too round, needs to be easier to distinguish from 8.
d) scaling to 90% needs improvement: 1. UI elements, e.g. IC column get unclear
e) give us also scaling to 80% ?

New font looks horrible on low resolution in windowed mode.
It's too small and to stretched vertically.
And it doesn't help that I can choose only between 100 and 90% UI scaling...

Why can't there be an option to choose the font?
Yes i like that you can easily distinguish between O and 0 and other characters... Bet when it makes my eyes hurt I am OK with some symbols being hard to understand, but easily read the whole texts...

Give us old font CCP.
Now ammo count is hard to see in modules, any numbers are just a stream of gibberish since : or / sign is almost invisible.
Fine, we can read a 0 (zero) in low/null but what about everything else.
Ship names in overview are too big even when using small font, compare it to the old font, its just not good.
Open skill menu, where is the clear readability there....its just full of letters with equal size, its not nice looking at all.
Bright nebula, and font without a shadow? Improved readability....lol.

We complained about new module icons, they were too dark and blurry, CCP you admit its not working well, you give us old and bright icons back...and the make the whole Caldari line-up of ships a dark blob in dark icon space. Honestly? WTH?

Can you honestly tell us it looks better and cleaner now? The whole new font is out of place in EvE. It just doesn't look modern, its too big in places, no shadow for bright areas... (and whole Caldari nebula is a mess).

All this was on 1680*1050 with UI 100% settings.
We are told the old font doesn't scale well, so let us use the old font if we dont scale down, if we scale the new font gets activated.

Just let us choose for gods sake.
