Hey. Got an Omen recently, trying to fit it, but cpu limits some things.
I have the current fitting:

HIGH
4x Focused Medium Beam Laser I
1x Rapid Light Missile Launcher I

MEDIUM
2x Cap Recharger I
1x Experimental 10mn Afterburner

LOW
1x Thermal Exhaust System I
1x Medium Armor repairer
3x Armor (Kinetic, EM and Thermic depending on the situation) Hardener I

Currently I have 8,5 cpu left, and 1x Rapid Light Missile Launcher I and 1x Focused Medium Beam Laser I are offline. What should I do? Any skills I should train? Any cheap rigs I can fit? Should I replace some of the modules with others?

The basics of your fit are pretty much correct.

For your lack of cpu problem, drop the light missle launcher. I also see you are using the lowest meta items on most things, and they use the most cpu. You should be able to buy some higher meta versions of those same items ( guns, cap rechargers, armor hardeners, armor repairer) for very little isk.

If that doesn't give you the cpu you need, there is nothing to do except take a day or two to train up your electronics and weapon upgrade skills until you can online your last gun.

And you need some capacitor rigs for that fit in a bad way. If you can't manage these things, keep using your frigate for missions until you can.

Or you can try dropping a hardener for an overdrive injector system I.
but that obviously leaves you with less tank.

Thanks. Any suggestions for rigs?

CCP released a new electronics rig with the last expansion called a Processor Overclocking Unit. It boosts ship CPU.

There are also some implants that do this, if I recall correctly.

As suggested earlier, shoot for higher meta level items. With that said, make sure to check the descriptions as some of the higher meta modules don't follow a linear path with respect to easier fitting requirements, particularly if the higher meta level provides a higher level of efficacy. (For instance: Heat Sinks).

You put a launcher on a laser boat?

Also, Weapons Upgrade and Advanced Weapons Upgrade will help fitting the guns, which a lot of the time can be a big issue. It also looks like you're using beam lasers. Switch to pulses. You have to be closer, but I promise you'll be happier with the performance.

Just to make sure, you are only doing level 2s, right? Once you fit 5 weapons, you will be fine for most level 2s, but be aware that a few will kick your butt in a low-skill omen. If you aren't already, use this website to make sure you feel comfortable doing the missions. http://eve-survival.org/wikka.php?wakka=MissionReports

As for fitting the omen, you will run into fitting problems with most fits that you might think are optimal at first. Try fitting a Co-Processor to increase your CPU output.

Focus on tank over dps at first. Get comfortable doing level 2s before you try to speed or blitz through them. Although it's true that DPS is also your tank in the sense that you destroy enemy ships before they can damage you significantly, it's better to focus on survivability until you know how much damage you can take and how to trade dps for tank.

By the way, the Omen is known for having fitting issues for low-skill pilots, so don't worry too much about loading an optimal fit right off the bat.

In addition to what others have said:
You could upgrade the Meta Level of your Weapons (Increases DPS and Lowers Fittings)
You could downgrade the Tier of your Weapons (To Quad Light Beam Lasers, Less Range and DPS but much better tracking and easier to fit)
Trade the Armor Hardners for Energised Plating (Less CPU Use) or Resistance Plating (No CPU Use - be warned, either of these will reduce your tank)
Trade your Heat Sink to Either Meta 0 or Meta 5 (Tech 2) These have the lowest CPU use while maintaining affordability. Unfortunately, the CPU Saving is small (Very Much worth it for T2 Heat Sink though)
Upgrade the Meta Level of your Cap Recahrgers (Reduced CPU use and more Cap/Second)
