Cannot create corp

I'm very curious to why I cannot create a corp that is not in game.
When I type and try and link my desired corp name, it says no corp of that name exist.
Neither does it show up in www.evewho.com

It has no illegal character since it is only letters.
I have been in a npc corp for 1 month now.

II have the appropriate skills for it. Corp management level 2

Even if I try to create a random corp name such as : asdfasdfaas I still cannot make it.
Even If I try and create the standard default corp name which is: Knight Nova Corporation
I still cant create it?

I get the fallowing message:
Sadly there are no suggestions for a ticker name, why don't you try a more unique corporation name?
Ive tried all different kind of combinations? and even with a random ticker name it wont work.

Now what am i doing wrong?

If it's stopping on not finding ticker name suggestions, try to come up with a unique ticker name yourself I guess (I don't have a client in front of my, and I don't remember how this works exactly, but I think that should work).

Thanks for your reply CCP karkur. However I have tried all possible combinations of ticker names. Even random letters as I mentioned before. It still wont let me create a corp.

It is so strange, the only way I can get this to work is if I put random letters or numbers or even dot in front of the name.
Lets take and example:

This corp name will not work ( random corp example, not the one I would wish, )

This corp name has been tested in game.
Does not work: GreenElephant
Does not work: Greenelephantasdgasdfe
Does not work: asdgasdfeGreenElephant

Does work: 123GreenElephant
Does work: GreenElephant123

The same goes with my default corp name Knight Nova's corporation
Examples that will not work:

Knight Nova's corporationindustry
Knight Nova's corporation
Green Elephant Corp
Green elephant Corpindustry

Examples that will work
Knight Nova's corporation industry
Green elephant Corp industry

Clearly you can see that this must be a bug. Now I have no idea why and how? The only difference I can tell is this, It seems to respond to the number of bracket spaces you have in your name as well as the length of the name. And it seems to respond well to numbers too.

The ticker name for this test were different ones, with random letters and numbers. Still same result.

The function which suggests tickers for you will not suggest a ticker that is already in use as they must all be unique. We seem to be running out of common ways of making tickers for the names you desire using the methods we've not changed since 2010.

It might of course be time for us to look into adding new methods, or at least returning a random unique string rather than erroring like that. But just for the sake of transparency: The reason 'Knight Nova's corporationindustry' does not work but 'Knight Nova's Corporation Industry' does is because the acronym of the two words is different. The former would contract to KNC whereas the latter to KNCI. KNCI is not held by anyone but KNC is currently held by the corporation Kouncel.

As Karkur suggest, for the time being you'll have better luck generating your own unique ticker and using People and Places to check if it's free or not.

I never did the corporation creation process, but I might give you some tips.

Each corporation in eve are identified by two names. First is full corporation name the second one is ticker name.

For example:
Full name: GoonWaffe
Ticker name: GEWNS

Full Name: EVE University
Ticker Name: E-UNI


Unless I am mistaken the eve client tries to guess the ticker name for you. I think you create a ticker name of your own if you want. Then it should work fine.

Please, for the sanity of pod pilots everywhere, never let us start using Unicode for the tickers. I'd rather see an expansion to 6-letter tickers from the standard [A-Z9-9.-] set then trying to look up a corp ticker which uses unfamiliar glyphs.

so i have an issue with creating a corp, i have a name that isnt taken and a ticker that isnt taken, but when i click submit, nothing happens, nothing comes up saying corp name or ticker is taken.
