OS version: windows 7
CPU: intel core i7 3970 (6 core)
GPU: EVGA NVIDIA Geforce GTX 680 (memory 2GB)
RAM: 16gb
How many clients were you running at the same time? 1
Graphic setting of the client (low / medium / high): High

The graphic card reseted 2 times when I jumped into the fight. This reset left the the monitor without signal for while and then recovered, although a little slowed down (low FPS). After dying and respawning everything was OK.

I'll be subminitng a bug report about this.

Nice job! Those missiles rocked! :D

Thanks for the report! Do I understand correctly that you had to die and respawn before the game looked normal again? I noticed the same problem, but in my case it was just a matter of waiting until the driver had reset and the game went back to "normal".

Well, in this case I've died just a little after the graphic card as recovered, so it can be just a coincidence. But while I wasn't killed the FPS were really low.

This problem also occurs on the current Tranquility version, it happened 2 to 3 times in the last weeks and after it had reset and come back one of two things happen:

1º The FPS are really stuttering, but switching to back to Windows and coming back returns to normal
2º After returning to normal the game is erratic, some modules that I was using don't activate and I have to restart the client

Eitherway, in any of the cases the client has crashed.

I've submitted logserver dumps about this through the bug report.

I can't reproduce it, and when it happens it's kind of random. if I could I would gladly help producing more logserver dumps.

Cheers,

Artur

Ok thanks for the information! If you're feeling adventurous, NVidia has a 304 beta driver that you can play with. Naturally it's not supported (by them nor us) while it's beta, but you never know it reduces the number of crashes.

Thanks again!

Actually I wouldn't advise using the nvidia Beta driver just yet for EVE Online, there is a problem with the mouse cursor not being visible. Which is kind of important :P

Have you tried any other games that use the GPU heavily, it might also be a case of faulty graphic card.

I've tried but I don't have this problem with other games, only EVE.

There's other players with the same problem, so it shouldn't be a problem of a faulty graphics card.

If this is revealed to be a driver problem I prefer to update it later when a new stable driver's released. This issue is not that intrusive and happens very sporadically.

By the way if you know how to trigger it I can do it following your instructions and provide more debug logs.
