If you train up to be a logistics pilot for incursions, afterwards is there anything that you can do with those skills?

I realize that you could do (particularly armor) logistics in null, you could support a person or two running L5 missions... anything else? How close are you to carriers at that point?

edit: [15:38:15] DRAKON ISMENIAN > you need logi 5 to fit a triage mod on a carrier

General Eve Complaint: I'd like to be able to right click the launcher and hit "C" for close, like any other decent windows program.

Wormholes with oneiros/scimis with links, small fleets/gangs while flying scimis/oneiros. both this things can be quite fun and you will feel that you are making a difference, wich is probably the best thing about flying logis.

another thing would be doing capital/subcap logistics on big fleets (this is boring as hell, but usually you will get rewarded nicely.)

logis on lvl5 missions are not usualy used, most lvl5 runners multibox either drakes, tengus, or a bunch of artycanes.

Apparently, don't quote me but i've heard rumors, EVE also has PVP in it and for some reason people use logi there too.

Logi is like Viagra for an otherwise limp fleet. They need you to help them stand erect.

I will edit this later.. but it popped in my head and I just had to post it Smile

Ok.. edit here:

What I meant to say was,
Logi is sometimes called a 'Force Multiplier'. It helps a smaller fleet be able to take on larger or less structured fleets. It is by most standards, the next level of quality PvP.
A good Logi pilot will generally be loved by all, and most decent corps will have a replacement fund for him/them.
Logi can be intense and though it isn't a "Glory Job" it can be hella fun.

Not a big thing but training cruiser 5 opens up training for other T2 cruisers of that race.

Being able to fly a logi also puts you most of the way towards fleet command ships.

I used to use my scimi a lot for wormhole fleets. Even without an afterburner you're pretty tough for sleepers to take down.

Well, you have good tank, fitting, and capacitor skills and cruisers V to even get a PvE logi running stable. Train up some T2 guns or whatever weapon system and you should be able to run a very solid T1 cruiser. Can likely build good spider-tank boats too.

If you mean the logistics ship command skill specifically, no, not really. That's how the ship-specific spaceship command skills work, eh, my Destroyer skill doesn't help me fly things that aren't destroyers and my Assault Cruiser skill doesn't help fly anything but ACs.
