Reverse engineering formula

Found the calculator on the net: http://alti.eve-odessa.com/info/reverse.html

It mentions the following formula to calculate the success chance:

Rev erse_Chance = Base_Chance * (1 + (0.01 * Reverse_Engineering_Skill_Level)) * (1 + (0.1 * (Datacore_1_Skill_Level + Datacore_2_Skill_Level)))

Base Chance:
Wrecked = 20%
Malfunctioning = 30%
Intact = 40%

Does anyone know if this formula is roughly correct? Using this formula, with L5 skills the intact relics should give 84% chance of success. Does that sound about right?

Random quick question, is ME/PE dependent upon anything, or always a specific value? (I assume zero since it's never mentioned)

You cannot research BPC, so for reverse engineering there is nothing you can do about it.

Plus, all T3 material in BPO and BPC is marked as "extra" so it doesn't have waste anyway.

PE research on T3 hybrid component BPO is useful though to reduce production time, but you could also just buy more component BPO.

thanks for confirmation!

i was looking everywhere, but all the guides I found don't mention the numbers, just say that the chances are higher.
