Alts should be removed from the game alltogether.

Also 24 hours is not enough tome for your "shadow clones". How could you infiltrate a spy in 24 hours? or are you Yeti.g to nerf the time honored traditions of eve? Alt spies may exist for months to build up trust to even fleet with a combat group and tou think a day is enough time? Also, what would the employment history of a shadow clone be? It couldn't be something obvious or your idea wouldn't work.

I have multiple skilled adn usable characters on all 3 of my accounts. So no. Your idea is actually pretty stupid and achieves nothing anyway, what exactly are you trying to fix?

it would never sell to the customer base.

Also there is alts via multiple accounts and those you cannot prevent because it is completely impossible to tell a dual boxer from two players from the software angle at least. NAT means you also cannot restrict to one EVE per IP.

EVE is like swimming on a beach in shark infested waters,  There is however a catch...  The EVE Beach you also have to wonder which fellow swimmer will try and eat you before the sharks.

I agree with the OP, but I doubt CCP will change anything.

As far as I know ( with my limited experience from 6.5 years of playing ) you can only log in 1 character per account at the same time... so whats your point again ?

[sarcasm]While they're at it, CCP should take space ships out of this game too. [/sarcasm]

The only reason any other game has multiple slots for characters is quest everything in those are quest and mission timeline games. You level up and you cant go back. Those games needed a way where you could play with your friend you just got to join. You dont need it in EVE.

As a single account holder, who refuses to buy more than one account to play a damned game, I say screw that.

You really do not understand CCP's game mechanics at all.
The game mechanics encourage alts. If you move to 0.0, alts are required. The number of accounts the average longtime 0.0 dweller runs is probably 3 times the number a griefer does.
Capitals require lots of low sp alts for moving.

OP, you do realize that players with skilled alts almost unanimously have them on DIFFERENT accounts, right? You do know this? Because I was beginning to think that you actually thought that players were making their main stop training while they train their alts, and that THAT was somehow causing the metagaming problems you have seen.

FT Diomedes: "Reaver, sometimes I wonder what you are thinking when you sit down to post."

Frostys Virpio: "We have to give it to him that he does put more effort than the vast majority in his idea but damn does it sometime come out of nowhere."

In lieu of alts, (If you don't want to make several accounts) make friends.

Difficult, more work and more risk in a game like EVE, true, but working with friends doesn't divide up your attention the way working with alt accounts can (depending on how many different accounts and what the activity in question is).

Not to mention, its much cheaper.

In the cat-and-mouse game that is low sec, there is no shame in learning to be a better mouse.

Um... But you do have to split payout. So more risk, less reward. Isn't the opposite of eve's general reward strategy?
