I currently live in a C3 WH with another friend we make decent money but want to upgrade. I will be getting into Archon soon.

Was wondering if a compensation of a pimped out tengu and a Archon would be enough to do a C5 anom?

Now i haven't looked much into c5s that's y i am asking.

With what we have to work with can we do these sites?

Please don't criticize im just wondering if what we have available is enough to upgrade whs

If not what else wud we need?

Also idk much about Cap escalation, can some on give me a rundown of that?

the fact that youre asking means you should stay far away from C5s.
honestly, go join a C5 corp if you want to try them, there are many.

alternatively, learn to google/search the forums and this has been covered a LOT and there are many sites with comprehensive info on C5 WHs.

Your post is EXACTLY what i didn't want. Nor is it helpful

People gata learn some how. So telling me "its not a good idea" isnt gana help im not gana warp into the site with different ships and find one that works. Imuh ask in forms. And i have looked around a bit but i didn't see the harm in posting my own with MY specific questions.

What is needed for people to move from a c3 to a c5?

Allow me to answer your questions.

First, you have a good number to move into a c5. I recommend you move into one as soon as possible. Towers size doesn't matter.

Next, Yes, an officer fit Tengu with carrier support can totally run a c5 anom with no issue.

Finally, when you bring a capital ship into a site, an extra two battleships spawn, but the carrier can tank it easily.

will the carrier have to be repping the tengu? imuh assume yes..

Also can he stick with faction/t2? Or is officer needed?

Also will we both need to be madly skilled? Or just competent?

Yes, the carrier will be repping the tengu. And an officer fit is necessary to really bring out the full potential of both ships. You can use faction, but it's not quite as effective. And you just have to be competent. That's all.

Because you're doing it with only 2 people, officer fit is definitely best. You could try faction, but you might die.

Higher skills are obviously better, but you can compensate with pimped fits if your skills are low.

Yes, the carrier should rep the Tengu.

And for the last part of my question. Numbers, you said 2 is fine? as of now we havn't had issue with only 2 members. (Max profit! Big smile )But in a c5 are 2 members viable? We just dont wana be way in over or heads. But from the sounds of it its exactly what we were expecting...

It seems we wud want more and would ALWAYS want a large for max defense..

^^what they said.

+ skill up your alts to fly another carrier/ tengu combination to get the maximum isk/hr that you can.

An officer fit is even more important for the second carrier as it spawns and extra 3 sleeper Battleships which do a lot of DPS.

Those guys just want you to come visit, because as soon as a WH corp like Talocan, or Exhale. find a C5 with a 2 man corp inside, they will kick you back to empire faster than you can say oh sh...

You have to understand, we want you to learn on your own. We don't like spoon feeding people so they get everything handed to them. What's the point of exploring the unknown when you ask for people to tell you what to expect?
