Ive used a 3G USB dongle on a pretty bad network compared to the two front runners in the UK.

With eve and browsing it worked fine, id expect a PCI internal 3g connection to be just a slight bit faster ping wise, but eve was certinaly playable anyway, i was running ventrillo also so i was pretty happy.

I managed a sustained DL of 300-500kb/s which for a budget 3g stick, is pretty good.

It doesnt replace a decent high speed connection but its WAY better than dialup, oh i should mention 4+ hours NP with no connection drops.
