Yup. Not altogether uncommon in some areas of space. Part of the reason why some haulers turn to a life of jacking their under-collateralized cargo.


Seems like they need an Ebay style star rating for couriers and then have contracts that pay different amounts depending on this star rating.

Well, you can always search for the issuer and see the relative success rate of their issued courier contracts. If it looks too high, they may be a ganker.
