C5 Observation

I wander through C5's quite a bit, and I nearly always find them with either Incoming or Outgoing Null WH's even when there isn't a null static.

Have other people observed that C5's tend to attract Null WH's? As we are thinking of moving up to C5's, this is possibly an attraction for us for the ISK-farmers among our Corp (providing the exit is relatively 'safe', of course).

I haven't been keeping actual stats on it, but seem to be seeing 3-5 null entrances per week in our system. Last week I scanned our C5 static and it had 4 incoming null wormholes at once.

Seems like there's a lot more k162's these days, I think a lot of null sec people have been scouting for small gang pvp where they can't get hotdropped and can actually ambush people. Of course it also allows for raiding in random systems and roams for us too.

Equally Z142's to null are the most common type of k-space exit in C5 space, risk/reward and all the jazz i guess...

Also some systems can be upgraded in null to help the spawn rate of wormholes, again with the most common wh's in nullsec being N432's to C5 space.

Maybe some of that waffle helps...

We enjoy our frequent 0.0 directs that come to our c5, but we find them equally as much in c3s it is probably all those 0.0 farmers making them spawn so often.

The random Z142 sig that spawns in C5s opens up into null sec. Add to that the fact that nulls have a ton of N432 that lead to C5 space and you have a ton of null sec exits. This is good for some pew, ISK-farming is way better in C5s rather than nullsec, however a chance to get a faction BS bpo is quite nice.

LOL What? I know a C5 can't have 0 statics. But it can have 0 Null-Sec statics

Ah yes, I forgot about the structures that can attract more WH's. Still, I do see a lot of outgoings that are not statics. I know random spawns are random, but in my experience it just seems C5's get hit the most (I'm leaving out the C6 here - I just don't know much about them!).

I think I saw one incoming C2 that was a Null-Sec during my entire time there. But our old C2 ended up getting bombarded with other incomings. Was not unusual to see 5-6 a day. A sure sign that WH life is becoming popular Ugh

Quantum Flux generators are widely used in Null by alliances who know how to farm C5's or - better - jump a cap gang farming them. They simply add more opportunity for variety.

As far as I know, the QFG only increases the chance of having one wh in the system where it's installed. And the definite majority of those wh lead to a C5.

Null alliances farming C5s is very good for our killboards. Hmmm, delicious null alliances.

In fact, no C5s have null sec statics. Z142's are wandering wormholes which go from class 5 and 6 systems to null sec, and N432s are wandering wormholes which go from null sec to class 5 systems. According to observations: all k-space connections to class 4 and higher are non-static. With all class 4 and higher statics leading exclusively to w-space.

At that rate, with 512 class 5 systems, there must be around 200-350 combined Z142s and N432s bouncing around out there (excluding Z142s in C6 space of course). Probably with half being Z142s in class 5 w-space and half being N432s in null sec, but it would be hard to say without stats.
