I'd lay this challenge out though, goons, prove you don't care about wars in high sec (you've claimed that maybe as much as it would cost me to pay for all my allies once 1.1 lands) and drop all the current wars you have. If they don't matter then why have them?
That doesn't make much sense, now does it? First of all, all I've ever seen them say is that highsec wars don't affect them. They do affect highsec-dwellers, though, so that's your reason right there whey they might be interested in having them: because they matter to you.

If something doesn't bother you but hugely inconveniences the enemy, what incentive would there be for you to stop doing it?

Also, something that would probably please everyone would be keeping the current free allies system, but add an upper limit to how many corps/people you can have as allies.

That way you would still be able to have your crusade against the GSF on even terms, but you'd have to choose allies more carefully, instead of getting a million random 20 man corps on the bandwagon.

I think it's fine.

They haven't reached 9000 undock campers yet, so there's plenty of room to go around.

Yes, because *every* single post you've made over the past few days it not a BS rumor at all.

Hypocrite much?

Well we actually have 46 or so allies currently (a very large proportion are 1 man or a small handful of people outfits) are you really suggesting that these people should be robbed of the chance to shoot back at the goons (who are currently claiming they welcome the attention) simply because your "14 years of game design college" gives you the right to say that things got imbalanced against the attacker?

Especially once they've had the game rebalanced in their favour by removing free defensive allies eh Tippia. Apparently it wasn't "fair" that defenders could build a coalition of defensive allies against a much larger attacker.

No, genius, I am saying that if this was not Goonswarm, but a way smaller entity, this wardec duping/stacking would not be fair at all because it's FREE for the defender, so it needs to be charged.

You must have a common sense filter implant in your head or something.

1st off, you have been told this duping allegation is ridiculous, please stop it, you are embarrassing yourself.

2nd. I have already provided a perfectly sensible solution for a small entity making wardecs to be protected against outrageous ally dog-piling MANY times. If the defending entity (defender + allies) is larger than the attacker they must pay to add more allies.

Job done, solution is right there. Perhaps your "14 years of game design experience" should pause for breath and consider the solution that has been offered.

I also have another idea how to fix this.

Keep the allies for the defender free, but limit them both to the maximum number of attackers.

For example, A is the attacker, D is the defender.
A has 9000 members.
D has, say... 1000 members.

D is allowed to recruit exactly 8000 more players worth of corporations OR INDIVIDUAL PLAYERS THAT SIGN UP ON A LIST SIMILAR TO THE ONE IN THE CALENDAR INTERFACE (brand new idea).

On the other hand, if A and D both have 9000 members, D cannot call in any more allies.

Is that fair enough for you Jade?
Or do you just want to outnumber the swarm 50 to 1 to prove a point?

Keep the Dec mutual. Invite them to your alliance. Keep dogpileing Goons.

No, they should be allowed to sit on the jita undock waiting for a moron to undock. And then themselves dock when a GSF roam comes by.

It's how they play EVE.

If it's just a small group they may want to jump in on every wardec. (I think Unquestional Prosperity Alliance has 70+ wars they are allies in). Still, if everyone always selects to be an ally, we could wind up with an amazing system. Think of it:

Jita 4-4 consisting of nothing but NPC freighter alts docking and undocking. Every now and then some undock camers undocks, and some who are in wars with them undock, and then everyone docks. Because blobbers.

Beautiful.

I'm literally so terrified of the pubbie throwdown coming our way I panicked and ran away from my computer while my Ishtar got shot at by gurristas for 30 minutes. I don't think I can handle this pressure you have placed on my coalition any longer. The constant fear, that any minute I may undock my ship and... undock my ship some more... and...

Wait what is it you guys are doing to us that's so nasty we are whining to CCP for again? I mean I still have all my money, my ships, my rugged good looks... all of my posts are still here and that's what's really important.

Has anyone told you that you are crazy?

I have been told that by a random nobody that had the fortune of being voted on the CSM, NOT by CCP or someone QUALIFIED.
Just because Bush was the president of the US, that doesn't mean he wasn't a moron that couldn't string together a sentence without sounding like a ******.

And learn to read, I said I've been a gamer for 14 years.

Seriously, I am getting the impression that you are being obtuse on purpose, because NO ONE is actually that dumb.

Its a far better solution than the Inferno 1.1 patch proposed by Soundwave.
I have no wish whatsoever to outnumber my opponent, so I'd be quite happy with your solution.

Good thing, then, that they're not disabling or disallowing that. All they're doing is removing the “something for nothing” oversight in the mechanisms involved.

I mean I'm hoping that somehow all wardecs cascade into one superwardec where the only people I can't shoot are the ones in NPC corps (I'd like to shoot them too). It would put highsec into the same category of space that every other place is for me: Hostile- Kill everything.

I hardly think you can keep calling it an oversight - I mean, this is the centrepiece of Inferno we're talking about here, are you really claiming that the CCP wardec team put the ally system into play without realizing exactly how it was going to be used (especially as several of us pointed out specifically how it used as soon as the mechanic was announced?)

Are you claiming the devs ignored all player feedback?

It has absolutely no likeness to exploits - duping or otherwise, you are just being silly.
