OK, there's a heated topic, lots of really good debate, then someone that disagrees inevitably chimes in, "You have no right to even state your opinion, YOU CAN"T EVEN SPELL!

it's been my experience that many times these types, don't even have anything constructive to add. But, they'll damn sure point out your bad spelling. LOL I can't help but wonder at time if these sort of people, even stop to consider that EvE is a global game, and many that play don't have English as there first language.

I wonder if they would be forced to communicate in say Russian, how well they would do.lol

OK, I've of late been posting a few jokes in the like and get liked thread to inspire a little of the lighter side. One thing I have discovered, is there aren't any jokes that basically spoof the English Teacher. They seem to have a remarkable impervious nature to this sort of things. I couldn't find jokes about virtually all other professions, doctors, lawyers, math teachers, virtually everyone, but nothing about English Teachers. Go figure

So if your inspired even a little about this nappy little thread. Lets try to brew up with a few lines of text fry the perfect speller types, the perfect English types, the perfect grammar types.

I have no problem with someone posting with bad spelling, as long as I can figure out what they mean.


Worse are the ones with excellent spelling and grammar, but they say things in such a way that it is gibberish (not saying you are, just stating what I think in general...).

Just out of interest, what is "complex thinking"?

I'd also like to point out that whilst yes, sometimes foreign players are targetted by the spelling police, all too often it is clear when the bad poaster in question is English. Or from an English speaking country.

Certain words spelt phonetically give it away, common misspellings based on regional pronounciation etc.

On a more serious note, those who cannot spell very well should not insult other folk for making spelling mistakes, and those who can spell well, really should know better.

The first makes you look a fool and the second makes you look arrogant.

"complex thinking", I'm glad you asked. As any here that have had any calculus, know many of the instructors refer to there classes, as classes in complex thinking.
