Need help - Did I miss any support skills.

I have come back to eve after a 2 year break. I got a new account which just sits and trains waiting to be ready for use. I dont play on this account, so Im not in a huge rush.

I have remapped for Int / Mem and would like to train the most essential int mem skills before remapping for combat.

So the question is, have I missed any essential skills?

I'm gonna do solo pvp in minatar. Mainly speed tanking in small cheap ships like destros or cruisers.

Evasive maneuvering to V
Spaceship command to V
Energy emission systems to IV
Repair systems (just in case, get it done) IV or V
Armor compensations to IV
Tactical shield manipulation IV
High speed maneuvering IV

I'd do long range targeting and signature analysis to V before remapping, too.

And dude, drones. Get T2 light and medium drones and all drone support skills to IV ASAP.

If all you want to do is minmatar frigs/destroyers, then you don't need drone skills.

However, in addition to above poster, you're still missing:

energy grid upgrades
shield compensation (if you want to use shield boosters)
cloaking III (not useful for fighting, but oh-so-useful for just about everything else)
electronics upgrades (some fits require a coproc II nowadays)
ewar skills as you prefer
rigging skills (jury rigging III, armor/astro/shield/weapons rigging preferably to IV)
high speed maneuvering
fuel conservation
warp drive operation


Most of those should probably be taken only to IV.

I'd train Thermo Dynamics to V.

Small ship combat will be fast and and every second more you can overheat can be the difference between winning and losing

multitasking 3
Tactical shield manipulation 4
all armour comps 4
all nav skills to 4

Thanks for all the input. Its really been great.

Had happily forgotten about drone skills, damn. Not such a big deal, but yet another 20ish days on the que.

There was also others that had just slipped my mind completely. I had imagined I could go shield tanking only, but a lot of rupture solo fits seem to use armor tanking now. Rigging skills too pff.

A quick side question. Is energi grid management used for cap boosters? Its pdu and battarys in the discription. Im not really planning on using any of those.

Im not in a super hurry, but I would like to play at some point. I think Im gonna skimp on a couple of fives.
