Just some feedback for this error message.
I was unable to logon due to the above, after a bit of searching loads seem to have the issue.

For me it only started recently on only the one machine (laptop). I'd recently lent it to a friend so started to check what had been installed and altered since he'd had it.

Turns out he had installed League of Legends, which installs installs some crap called "pando media booster".

Uninstalling this and I was able to reconnect again. Reinstalling LoL caused the connection to stop working. Again, uninstalling "pando media booster" fixed the connection issue.
