Suicide Ganking?

I thought I'd ask people who might hear proposed ideas and theories on what CCP might or could do to solve the problem. I don't haul often, but when I do I tank out my mammoth and start concentrating on getting through high sec. I make 20 jumps or so without problem, get distracted for 60 seconds and BAM, suicide ganked at the gate, 300 mill loss. Yeah, yeah, EVE is dangerous and looking at a market, or a map, or anything other than the current moment will get you killed.

My question is will there ever be a steeper penalty for suicide ganking? People who hang out all day at a gate waiting for a target to make a quick profit off by killing their ship,, having a buddy loot all the stuff (which won't cause any penalty to the person helping),

... and the only worry is a 15 minute cooldown? There is no reason why griefing will ever stop in high sec if Concord lets pirates go with a slap on the wrist and what amounts to a time out. "Don't do that again or we'll take your ship away that you'll easily buy 5 more of with the loot you stole!"

Just saying... and I think a lot of people will agree is there is at least 1000% more stress put on people just playing the game without PVP in mind then gate campers who get a set up and their days of worry are over. A nice tech II ships, some faction gear, and they'll be set for life.

^ Constant griefing in high sec through suicide ganks. I don't know whether this is considered by most people as an exploit to the Concord crime system, but it seems silly that a pirates can abuse players in high sec for months / years and still be allowed in high sec... that makes no sense in any legal penalty system I can think of.

Cascade Imminent is selling mining passes to access scenic, distant Detorid.

Dare you make the diaspora from the persecution of suicide gankers, and take the plunge into mining Xanadu?

CCP actually endorses and encourages suicide ganking.

Things are only impossible until they are not.

Probably so we can all buy more plex. Makes sense from a marketing standpoint. Well, I'm not falling for it =p

Take your tinfoil off.

Suicide ganking has been around and approved since long before PLEX existed.

I was there tonight and it wasn't very scenic. I can't believe people pay to rent that space. Just terrible.

Good news for you, they aren't allowed in High-sec if thier sec status is low enough
Bad news for you, theres nothing stopping them from making an alt in a catalyst with a clean sec status
Also more bad news, If you happen to live near a low sec system they can jump in and quickly gank you, but they have to be quick

Now, more than ever, we need a dislike button.

I don't do this stuff at all BUT If I would need to hang all day on a gate just to get couple of kills I would consider it HUGE penalty.Lol

I have never been ganked in hisec and I haul my precious deadspace ( usually 3bil+ ) loot to Jita every now and then ( on hauler alt of course ). I am paying attention and bypassing systems with confirmed ganker activity. Sometimes I need to make few more jumps and that is all - 99% safety. If you take the easiest route because you are lazy then sorry but it is your own fault.

Wow, thanks for the information !
That's GREAT to know ! :D

Edit:
Also, i might add, not knowing the nature of the game sure makes you look silly around here. xD
Well ... and really ... smart move to tell people that you haul expensive stuff around.
Do you think before you post ? xD

They're able to /enter/ hisec, they just have to be fast enough to evade faction navies.

npc alts have no opinions worth consideration

Suicide Ganking is a valid playstyle and gaming technique, it just needs to be made less of a spreadsheet exercise in determining profits associated with its application (that can be as much or more as a plex in an afternoon) whilst simply managing security status.

So ...

Quote:
For PvP and like to encourage more of it? Or perhaps you are an industrialist with a specific focus in game not directly concerned with PvP skilling to be effective at your role and therefore ineffective to apply teeth in response to criminal activities?

Want to validate a potential Career path in ≡v≡ with new income potential that is ideally designed as simply a transferance of ISK from one pilot to another?

Actually like situations where ships shoot back and "really" improve your KB resume as opposed to simply suprising soft industrial targets?

You agree that pilots should adapt to challenging situations in ≡v≡ where acceptance of risk is an everyday seperator of those getting ahead on the curve, criminals included, to ensure the game evolves instead of being kept dumbed down?

Or simply want to make ≡v≡ less boring with adding more fun and challenging gameplay elements?

Would like to see CCP finally correct a long standing (2003) broken mechanic in the game which at best provides an exploit for the effected criminal party to profit further from and yet has been left in the game still?

Not sure if trolling.

I wouldn't put 30 million in a T1 hauler.
