POS fuel/reaction cycle time...

I know that POS's basically cycle and eat fuel and process reactions at a certain time every hour, but I can't figure out how to determine when that is or how to "set" it.

I've been told that if I offline a silo to fill it up but the tower cycles while it's offline, I'll miss a cycle and have to wait to online it again, so I need to make sure I offline/online before or after the tower does it's thing.

Now, does this time get set when I first click Online to turn the tower on for the first time? Or does it get set after the onlining delay and the shield actually goes up?

Like if I want this cycle to be at :00 on the hour, do I click online at :00 or at :30 and wait the 30 minute onlining time?

Easiest way to figure out when your POS cycles is to pull out all but 23hrs of fuel from it. The timestamp on the low fuel notification is the cycle time.

If you want to set the time, I suggest pulling up SISI and testing it. Won't take more than two hours or so (set up 4 POSes at 15min intervals, check the cycle time when they're up).
